Frequently asked questions
How does breeding work in Palworld?
Every pal has a hidden combination rank. Breeding two different pals produces the breedable pal whose rank sits closest to the average of the two parents ranks. Ties resolve to the lower rank, and parent order does not change the child.
Do two of the same pal always breed the same pal?
Yes. Same-species pairs always breed true, so two Lamballs produce a Lamball. This rule takes priority over the combination-rank math, which makes a matched pair the reliable way to farm a specific pal or its eggs.
Does parent order or gender matter for breeding?
For almost every pair, no. The calculator treats a pairing the same in either order. The only exceptions are a small set of unique combinations, some of which require a specific parent gender to produce their special child.
What are unique breeding combinations?
They are a curated set of special parent pairs that override the normal rank math to produce a fixed child. The calculator applies these overrides first, then falls back to combination-rank matching for every other pair.
Can I find every parent pair for a specific pal?
Yes. Enter a target pal and the calculator back-solves every breedable parent combination that yields it, including same-species pairs and any unique combos. You can also map a multi-step path from pals you already own.
