FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does the Palworld boss counter planner rank pals?

Each pal is scored against the selected boss by three real factors: whether its best usable active skill is super effective against the boss typing, its attack stat, and that skill's power. Pals the boss out-types are penalized because they take extra damage. The result is a ranked shortlist rather than a single answer, so you can pick whatever you already own.

What element should I use against a Palworld boss?

The planner shows each boss's weaknesses directly. Palworld uses a fixed element chart where every type is weak to exactly one attacker, except Fire, which is super effective against both Grass and Ice. Dual-type bosses can be weak to two elements at once, and hitting both weaknesses stacks the bonus.

Are the boss HP numbers exact?

They are close estimates. Each boss's base stats and its HP multiplier come straight from the 1.0 game files, and we scale them by the encounter level with Palworld's standard HP formula. Field alpha levels are exact; tower and raid encounter levels are reviewed values, so treat those HP figures as a guide to how long the fight runs, not a to-the-point total.

Does this cover tower bosses and raid bosses?

Yes. Alongside the field alphas scattered across Palpagos, the planner includes the syndicate tower bosses and their hard-mode versions, plus the raid bosses. Tower and raid bosses have huge HP multipliers, so element advantage and sustained damage matter even more there.
