How to Breed Moldron Cryst

Put a Moldron and a Reptyro Cryst in a Breeding Farm. Moldron Cryst has no wild spawns at all, and its only other source is a level 78 alpha in the World Tree.

Where to find the two parents

Moldron Cryst spawns nowhere, so there is nothing of its own to map. The heat is Reptyro Cryst, the parent that actually gates this route, with Moldron and the level 78 alpha pinned for scale.

The base form fills Paldeck 105 and is Fire and Ground with 101 mapped points from level 32. It is also half of the pair that makes this one, so catching it is a step rather than a substitute.

◆Reptyro Cryst is the whole cost of this route. Its level 42 floor is inside the Astral snow dungeon at 20 percent group weight, and the cheapest open ground is the snowline at levels 48 to 53 at 16.8 percent. Moldron, the other parent, is available 10 levels earlier. These are selection weights, not observed drop rates.
◆There is no spawn point file for Moldron Cryst at all, which is rarer than it sounds. Most Pals that people call breeding only still have a handful of points somewhere. This one genuinely has none.
◆The level 78 alpha carries a different drop table from a bred one only in level and passives, not in items: every Moldron Cryst drops 4 to 5 Ice Organ and 2 to 3 Leather. Breeding is the only way to choose what else it comes with.
Why bother
Moldron Cryst is Cooling 5 and Mining 5, the highest cooling tier you can put on a base without an endgame catch, and it rides as a mount. Ice Overload adds 25 percent to the Ice damage you and your Pals do to weak points, which is one of the few party buffs that scales with aim rather than levels.
