How to Breed Eidrolon Ignis

Breed Eidrolon with Suzaku, the only cross-species pair that makes one. Both parents are field bosses, at levels 69 and 45, and both respawn if the fight goes badly.

Where to find the two parents

Both parents are single fixed spots rather than populations: the Eidrolon boss on the southern Sunreach sky islands at level 69, and the Suzaku boss in the desert at level 45. Beat those two and the rest is a cake.

The route
1Take the Suzaku boss at [326, 483] firstLevel 45 in the desert, and the cheaper of the two parents by a wide margin. Suzaku is Fire, so Water damage gets the bonus and heat resistant armour makes the approach easier.Lv 45, guaranteed
2Take the Eidrolon boss at [-489, -1521]Level 69 on the southern Sunreach sky islands. It is Dragon and Dark, so Ice and Dragon damage both bite, and it flies, so bring something that can chase it.Lv 69, guaranteed
3Pair them with a CakeOne Cake per egg. This is the only cross-species pair in the game that produces an Eidrolon Ignis, so there is no alternative combination to shop around for.2 pairs, 1 of them self
4Or find one in the World Tree laterLevels 75 to 77 around Corroded Hollow, where it holds 50 of 357 weight on a 5-Pal table, or 14.01 percent of a roll. Flaracle is on the same table at twice that share, so expect to see the fox first.14.01 percent per roll
5Bring Ice or Water to the catchEidrolon Ignis is Dragon and Fire, so Ice punishes the Dragon half and Water the Fire half. At levels 75 to 77 a Hyper Sphere is the floor rather than the ceiling.Weak to Ice and Water

26 points around Corroded Hollow

Levels 75 to 77 in the World Tree, all 26 points on one 5-Pal table where it holds 14.01 percent of a roll. There is no map pin for them, and reaching the region at all comes after Sunreach.

Huge Dragon Egg, one of eight outcomes

The World Tree pool on the Huge Dragon Egg carries it at 24.27 percent among 8 outcomes, with an alpha version at 0.73 percent. Four of those outcomes share the same 24.27 percent, so this is a fair lottery rather than a targeted route.

Base formSeparate
Eidrolon is a different Pal

Paldeck 171 against 171B. The base form is Dragon and Dark rather than Dragon and Fire, it has no kindling, and it lives on a level 69 Sunreach field boss instead of in the World Tree. Catching one does not fill this slot, and you need one to breed this.

Paldeck 171 and 171BNo kindling on the base formHow to get Eidrolon
Every route to this Pal runs through content most players see late. The pair is the earliest of them because it only needs the Sunreach sky islands, while the wild population needs the World Tree, which opens after them.
It shares its entire wild presence with Flaracle on one World Tree spawner group, and Flaracle holds 100 of the 357 weight against 50 for Eidrolon Ignis. Hunting one is hunting both, at two to one against you.
Kindling 6 with Transporting 6 is the reason to keep it after the Paldeck entry. That combination is rare on a Pal you can also ride.
Why bother
Eidrolon Ignis is the work version of its base form: Kindling level 6 on top of the same Transporting 6, where plain Eidrolon has no kindling at all. It is a flying mount that gains 2 percent Attack and Movement Speed for every other Dragon or Fire Pal in the party, itself excluded, and it drops 4 to 5 Flame Organ with World Tree relics behind them.
