How to Breed Renjishi

Breed Blazamut with Neptilius at around level 60. Both are fixed main island bosses, and the only real wild Renjishi is a level 78 alpha deep inside the World Tree.

Where to find the two parents

Neptilius and Blazamut breed into Renjishi, and neither of them lives in the World Tree. Neptilius has no wild spawn at all, so its half of the pair is one fixed level 60 spot on the Isle of the Glacial Core. Blazamut gives you a choice of an alpha or a wild catch.

1Catch a Blazamut at [782, 442]The wild cluster at levels 46 to 50 is the cheap half of the pair and Blazamut holds 28.57 percent of that table. If it is not cooperating, the level 52 alpha at [-737, -332] is guaranteed. Blazamut is pure Fire, so bring Water.16 points, or one Lv 52 alpha

The only Renjishi standing on real ground is a level 78 field boss in the northeast of the World Tree, directly east of the Corroded Hollow fast travel point. It is guaranteed and it respawns, so it is the right answer once the region is open.

Large Scorching Egg, 1 in 3 among three outcomes

The World Tree pool on the Large Scorching Egg has three outcomes and Renjishi is one of them at 33.33 percent, with Dupin as another. The Huge Scorching Egg carries an alpha version at 1.4 percent among seven. Both pools only appear on World Tree routes, so this is a shortcut inside the region rather than a way around it.

The Dupin and Dandilord pair is not the easy one

Dupin with Dandilord produces a Renjishi, but Dandilord is not an easily accessible parent: it has no wild spawn, no field boss, no egg pool and no dungeon encounter, and its only source is a World Tree main quest boss step. If you can get one, you can already fight the Renjishi alpha.

◆Renjishi is often described as never appearing as a wild spawn, and that is very nearly right. There are 21 points at level 80, but all 21 sit on the World Tree aura spawner shared by 72 Pals at equal weight, so a roll there is 1 in 72. Treat it as no wild population rather than a thin one.
◆With only 45 breeding pairs, Renjishi is one of the narrower results in this Paldeck block. Venusa has 712 and Loomen 670. Do not expect a pen you set up for something else to produce one by accident.
◆The 28.57 percent share is a spawn-table weight, not an observed catch rate: it says what fraction of one roll Blazamut holds among its neighbors.
Why bother
Renjishi carries Kindling 8, the highest kindling value in the game and one no other Pal reaches. It also holds Handiwork 6, Gathering 5 and Transporting 5, so it works a furnace, a bench and a haul route from a single base slot. Its partner skill Stage Combat makes your own attacks apply Burn 2, and it drops 2 to 3 Flame Organ.
