This is the whole list. Twenty one points sit below the Frostbound Mountains and only appear at night, and the other ten sit inside the volcano Wildlife Sanctuary, which is guarded ground rather than open map.

A single Fire Cult camp fields one Kitsun outside on the ground floor, with no fixed level. Treat it as something that happens during a camp clear rather than a plan.
Kitsun has no field boss anywhere, does not appear in dungeons and has no raid tier. Two spawner tables, one camp and the egg pools are the entire list.

Does Kitsun only spawn at night?
On the main island, yes. Every one of its 21 mountain spawn points carries the nocturnal flag, so daytime sweeps of that ridge roll Snugloo, Foxcicle and Reindrix instead.
Is there a Kitsun boss or alpha?
No. Kitsun has no field boss and does not appear in dungeons. The only guaranteed Kitsun in the game comes out of an Astral Mountains rare Scorching Egg.

Is Kitsun worth catching?
For the ice regions, yes. Riding one cuts Ice damage taken by 15 percent for your whole party and makes all of you immune to Freeze, which is the difference between exploring the Astral Mountains and surviving them.
