The fastest Ancient Relic farm in Palworld is not a boss marathon. It is a tight enemy-density loop around Gilded City Ruins Watch Tower at -1862, 1377, where regular packs, a rare aura Pal, a possible nest, and an optional double boss can all feed the same five-minute circuit.

Ape Knight Gaming pulled 706 Ancient Relics in about 20 minutes on this route, plus 1,065 Small Pal Souls, 330 World Tree Holy Waters, and 328 Electric Radiant Gems. Save this page or send it to your co-op group, because one player can lead the loop while everyone focuses on deleting packs.

Best Palworld Ancient Relic farm location and setup#

The starting point is the Gilded City Ruins Watch Tower inside the World Tree region. The coordinates shown in the video are -1862, 1377. If you have not opened this endgame zone yet, use our World Tree unlock and farming guide first.

Start the route at Gilded City Ruins Watch Tower, coordinates -1862, 1377.

This spot works because it compresses several chances at high-value loot into one small area:

  1. Dense groups of high-level Pals are close enough for rapid area attacks.
  2. The stair corridor can produce an unusual aura-marked Pal with much stronger relic drops.
  3. A nest can appear along the lower section with extra enemies and an Alpha.
  4. A double boss can appear near the upper side of the loop.

The route still pays when the rare events miss. That matters more than any single lucky spawn, because the regular packs are what keep relics flowing between jackpot checks.

Best Pal and skill setup for fast clears#

Bring a fast Dragon-type mount that can attack while moving. The video uses Jetragon, but the route does not depend on one exact Pal. What matters is speed, comfortable flight control, and a short-cooldown area attack that can erase clustered enemies without landing.

The featured setup uses Dragon Burst, displayed in game as Dragon Burst. It deals Dragon area damage on a four-second cooldown, which is almost tailor-made for a pack loop. Fire it as you enter a group, collect the drops, and keep moving while it refreshes.

Pack these before you start:

  • A fast Dragon Pal with at least one short-cooldown area skill
  • Enough spheres to capture the rare aura Pal instead of automatically defeating it
  • Open inventory weight for relics, Pal Souls, Holy Water, and Radiant Gems
  • Endgame armor and enough damage to clear level 75 to 80 enemies quickly
  • Food for your mount so the loop does not stall

Full Gilded City Ruins farming route#

1. Leave the watch tower and fly north#

Start at the watch tower and point north. Stay low enough to read enemy names and spot tight packs instead of flying over them. The goal is not to clear every lonely Pal in sight. You are hunting groups that one Dragon Burst can hit together.

2. Delete the first Wistella packs#

Sweep the nearby Wistella groups and any other clustered enemies along the same line. Do not wait around for stragglers if they pull away from the pack. The speed of this farm comes from finishing one group and immediately moving to the next.

3. Check the long stairs every lap#

The stair corridor is the most important landmark on the route. In the recorded run, an aura-marked Bastigor appeared here even though that was not the normal local spawn. The unusual species and visible aura were the tells.

Check this long stair corridor for an unusual aura-marked Pal on every lap.

Capture or defeat the spawn, then collect everything around the stairs. The recorded capture produced 13 Dormant Ancient Relics, 4 Gorgeous Ancient Relics, and 1 Glistening Ancient Relic, with another 42 Decayed Ancient Relics noticed nearby.

This captured aura-marked Bastigor dropped multiple high-tier Ancient Relics.

4. Sweep the upper ledge, then turn back down#

Check the groups above the stairs, return through the corridor, and take the left-hand path into the lower ruins. The lower section has another strong concentration of packs, so keep circling the open areas instead of following every branch to its end.

5. Check the lower nest point#

A nest can appear in the lower part of the circuit. When it does, clear it. The extra enemies and its Alpha can add a valuable relic spike without sending you away from the main loop.

When no nest is present, do not stop. Clear any nearby packs and start climbing back toward the stairs.

6. Recheck the stairs and optional double boss#

Pass through the stair corridor again so you never miss the rare aura spawn. Near the upper side of this return path, a double boss can also appear. Take the fight if it is already there and your damage is high enough, but do not turn the whole farm into a boss-hunting tour.

Farm the density. Treat aura Pals, nests, and bosses as bonuses, not the route.

Then point north and repeat the same circuit.

How the rare aura Pal spawn works#

The aura Pal is the biggest single-drop opportunity in the loop, but it is not guaranteed. Look for two signs:

  • The species is unusual for the area. Bastigor was the giveaway in the video.
  • A visible aura surrounds the Pal. The effect resembles the World Tree aura shown on the player's Jetragon.

The creator tested moving back and forth to force the stair enemies to respawn, but could not make another aura Pal appear. It may require clearing enemies across the surrounding area, or the spawn may simply be rare enough that the test was unlucky.

For the broader value of aura Pals and World Tree passives, the World Tree guide explains how these effects can change resource farming and endgame builds.

20-minute Ancient Relic farm results#

Here is the relic haul Ape Knight Gaming showed after roughly 20 minutes on the route:

  • Decayed Ancient Relic: 478
  • Dormant Ancient Relic: 141
  • Gorgeous Ancient Relic: 54
  • Glistening Ancient Relic: 13
  • Glowing Ancient Relic: 20
Inventory showing 478 Decayed Ancient Relics after the 20-minute Gilded City route
The recorded 20-minute run produced 706 Ancient Relics across all five tiers.

The same run also produced:

  • 1,065 Small Pal Souls
  • 330 World Tree Holy Waters
  • 328 Electric Radiant Gems

That Electric Radiant Gem haul makes the loop especially attractive if your next project is an Electric Pal. Our Palworld Awakening guide explains how element-matched Radiant Gems and World Tree Holy Water feed the Awakening system. You can also check every recorded source for Glowing Ancient Relics if you need to compare this combat loop with expeditions, chests, fishing, and other drops.

These numbers are one recorded run, not a fixed guarantee. Pack composition, rare spawns, nests, bosses, clear speed, and loot bonuses can all move your total up or down.

Why this route beats boss farming#

Bosses and Alpha Pals can drop more and better relics per enemy. The problem is downtime. Traveling from boss to boss and waiting on cooldowns cuts into the number of targets you can clear per minute.

  • Gilded City pack loop: Best for sustained relics per minute, but it needs fast area damage and active routing.
  • Aura Pal or nest: A high-value bonus during the loop, but rare and not forceable on demand.
  • Boss farming: Better drops per enemy, with travel and cooldown downtime between fights.
  • Treasure chests: Useful extra relics while exploring, but slower as a dedicated farm.
  • Fishing: A low-pressure alternative that was slower than the combat loop in the creator's testing.

If repetition starts to burn you out, a boss circuit is still a valid change of pace. For pure speed, the video test favors dense packs because there is almost always another group within reach.

Quick route checklist to share with your squad#

  • Fast travel to Gilded City Ruins Watch Tower at -1862, 1377
  • Ride a fast Dragon Pal with a short-cooldown area attack
  • Fly north and clear dense packs instead of chasing single enemies
  • Check the long stairs for an unusual aura-marked Pal every lap
  • Sweep the upper ledge, take the left path, and clear the lower ruins
  • Clear the nest or double boss only when either is already spawned
  • Return through the stairs and repeat

The best version of this farm is simple enough to remember after one lap: packs, stairs, lower ruins, stairs, repeat. Share the coordinates with your group, put your fastest rider in front, and turn the entire ruin into one continuous drop feed.

Ancient Relic farm FAQ#

Where is the best Ancient Relic farm in Palworld?#

The fastest route demonstrated in the source video starts at Gilded City Ruins Watch Tower in the World Tree region at -1862, 1377. It combines dense Pal packs with repeated checks for an aura Pal, a possible nest, and an optional double boss.

What Pal should I use to farm Ancient Relics fast?#

Use a fast Dragon-type mount with a short-cooldown area attack. Jetragon with Dragon Burst is the demonstrated setup because it can fly the route quickly and hit clustered enemies every four seconds.

Should I capture or defeat the aura Pal?#

Capture it when you can. The Pal can carry valuable World Tree passives, and capturing still produced a large relic drop in the recorded run. If you do not need the Pal or cannot capture it safely, defeating it still keeps the route moving.

Are bosses the fastest source of Ancient Relics?#

Not in the creator's testing. Bosses gave better relics per enemy, but pack farming produced more value over time because it avoided travel and cooldown downtime. Take bosses that appear on this loop instead of building the entire route around them.
