How to Get Aegidron

Fight the level 79 field boss near the Lacrymal Shoal in the World Tree. Aegidron has no wild spawn point anywhere in the game, so that one alpha is the whole route.

The only Aegidron in the game

One field boss in the World Tree, in the ruins north of the Lacrymal Shoal fast travel point. Aegidron has no spawn points in any region, so there is no second place to check and no cluster to circle.

The route
1Fast travel to Lacrymal ShoalThe boss stands in the ruins to the north of that waypoint, in the same block of the region as the spawner group that carries Roujay and Solenne. If you have been catching either of those, you have already walked past it.World Tree, 1 field boss
2Bring Ice, and Grass as backupAegidron is Dragon and Ground, so Ice punishes the Dragon half and Grass punishes the Ground half. A level 79 alpha with neither in the team is a fight measured in ammunition rather than minutes.Dragon and Ground, weak to Ice and Grass
3Expect to be hit, not stunnedIts own partner skill is a damage shield, and the fight leans on the same thing: heavy armoured pressure rather than tricks. Explosives are the wrong answer here, because reducing explosive damage is exactly what this Pal is built around.Rarity 8, no raid tier behind it
4Take it under half, then throw Legendary SpheresLevel 79 is the top of the sphere ladder. Put your party on passive before the last hits, because there is no second Aegidron anywhere in the game to try again on today.Overkill loses the catch
5Lose it and wait for the respawnField bosses come back on server restart, or roughly an hour on a solo world. Nothing is consumed by failing, which is the main reason this beats a pair that needs a Frostallion and a Jetragon caught first. No cake, no slab, no consumed item

Huge Dragon Egg, about 1 in 4

The World Tree pool on the Huge Dragon Egg holds eight outcomes and Aegidron is 24.27 percent of it, which is the best chance any egg gives you here. The same pool carries an alpha version at 0.73 percent. Both come off World Tree routes, so this is a shortcut for someone already in the region, which for this Pal is everyone.

122 pairs, and the cheap end is two legendaries

The only route where you choose the level, since the alpha is pinned at 79. Read the cheap end honestly though: our model rates the best pairs at 70 and they run through Frostallion with Jetragon, or Jetragon with Neptilius. Those are two boss catches and a Cake to avoid one boss catch, so breed for passives rather than for access.

Aegidron does not spawn anywhere, at all

Aegidron never spawns in the wild, in any region: not on the main island, not on Sakurajima, not on Feybreak, not in Sunreach and not in the World Tree. It does not even appear on the World Tree aura table that most of its neighbours turn up on. There is no roll to wait for.

The fight sits near ruins north of the Lacrymal Shoal fast travel point in the World Tree, at level 79, 0.14km from the Lacrymal Shoal label.
Aegidron is combi rank 30, one of the lowest numbers in the roster, which is why it turns up as a parent on so many other breeding pages. It is worth catching a second one for the pen rather than only for the Paldeck.
Do not bring explosives. The Pal that reduces explosive damage by 60 percent for your team is the same Pal you are shooting at, and the fight is built around soaking that damage type.
Why bother
Aegidron carries Mining 8, the highest mining value in the game and one no other Pal reaches. It is also a mount, and its partner skill Indestructible Fortress cuts explosive damage to you and your party Pals by 60 percent while making all of you immune to Stun. Each one drops 1 to 2 Thermal Core and a Giant Pal Soul.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where is Aegidron in Palworld 1.0?

One level 79 field boss in the World Tree, in the ruins north of the Lacrymal Shoal fast travel point. There is no second location, because Aegidron has no wild spawn points at all.

Can you catch a wild Aegidron?

No. It never spawns in the wild, and unlike most World Tree Pals it does not even appear on the shared aura table. The alpha, eggs and breeding are the complete list.

What beats the Aegidron alpha?

Ice and Grass. Aegidron is Dragon and Ground, so both get a bonus. Skip explosives entirely, because this is the Pal whose partner skill exists to blunt them.

Which egg hatches an Aegidron?

The Huge Dragon Egg from World Tree routes, at 24.27 percent among eight outcomes, with an alpha version in the same pool at 0.73 percent. That is the highest egg chance any Pal in this Paldeck block gets outside a single outcome pool.

Is Aegidron the best mining Pal in Palworld?

By the numbers, yes. Mining 8 is the highest value in the roster and Aegidron is the only Pal that has it. It has no other work suitability at all, so it is a specialist rather than a general base slot.
