Celaray: Location, Breeding and Drops

Celaray is on 213 mapped points across three early regions at levels 2 to 14. Catch one, keep it in the party, and its Zephyr Glider skill removes fall damage for as long as it is there.

Three populations, none of them dominant

All 213 mapped Celaray points. Unlike most starting Pals the population does not pile into one patch, so the nearest of these three is always a reasonable answer.

Ocean pools, weight 23.5

Celaray sits in six Easy ocean pools between levels 1 and 30, but at a weight of 23.5 rather than the 94 that river Pals carry. You will hook one eventually, and walking to a patch is quicker.

Pairs that make a Celaray

A very long list of pairs lands here, which is what happens to Pals low in the rank table. Useful for passives or for a Celaray above the wild cap of 14, useless for a first one.

Celaray Lux is 7B

The Electric variant has its own Paldeck entry, its own spawns out in the desert at levels 26 to 29, and Generating Electricity instead of nothing. Catching it does not fill this slot.

Paldeck 7 and 7BLv 26 to 29How to get Celaray Lux
Zephyr Glider only modifies a glider you have equipped. If you have not unlocked one yet, keeping a Celaray in the party changes nothing, and that is the complaint people usually mistake for a bug.
Aquatic Pal Fluids is the only thing Celaray drops, 1 to 2 per catch. There is no second drop and no rare roll, so catching a dozen is a waste of spheres.
Celaray has no field boss, no dungeon spawn, no camp squad and no quest step. The 213 wild points, the fishing pools and the eggs are the entire list.
Why bother
Celaray is a movement upgrade disguised as a Pal. Zephyr Glider prevents fall damage outright and extends high-speed gliding, passively, for as long as it sits in your party. That changes how you travel long before you have a flying mount, and it costs you one slot and one basic sphere.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where do you find Celaray in Palworld 1.0?

On Windswept Island, the Isle of Silence and the Sea Breeze Archipelago, 213 mapped points in total at levels 2 to 14. The three patches are close enough in size that the nearest one wins.

Does Celaray stop fall damage?

Yes, while it is in your party and you have a glider equipped. Zephyr Glider prevents fall damage and extends high-speed gliding, with no cooldown and nothing to activate.

Should I catch Celaray or Celaray Lux?

They are separate Paldeck entries, so eventually both. Celaray is a levels 2 to 14 catch near the start, Celaray Lux is levels 26 to 29 out in the desert and adds Generating Electricity 2.

Can you fish for Celaray?

You can, from 14 pools between levels 1 and 30, but it carries a weight of 23.5 in the ocean pools rather than the 94 that river Pals get. Walking to a spawn patch is faster.

What does Celaray drop?

Aquatic Pal Fluids, 1 to 2 per catch at 100 percent, and nothing else. It is a party skill Pal and a Watering worker rather than a farm target.
