The level 11 alpha, and the snow where the rest live

The alpha pin is the route. The heat behind it is the wild population, which starts 21 levels higher and is worth knowing about only if you want a Chillet that is already strong.

Frozen Egg, and the starter pool is a coin flip

The Windswept Hills pool on the Frozen Egg holds 2 outcomes and Chillet is 50 percent of it. That is a nest you walk past in the first hour, and it is better odds than the Astral Mountains pool at 33.33 percent of 3.

The snow population, 21 levels later

A hundred and thirty points across the Astral snowline at levels 32 to 41, with 81 of them in one patch at [-13, 141] where Chillet holds 14.2 percent of the group. Worth it only for a Chillet that starts strong.

Astral Mountains Cavern

The snow cavern fields a Chillet alpha at levels 42 to 45 and a pair of ordinary ones at 39 to 41, which is above anything the open snow offers. Useful for a high level base Chillet, useless as a first catch.

143 pairs, none of them honestly cheaper

The maths ranks several pairs at level 10, one under the alpha, but all of them need Mimog or Munchill. Mimog is under 2 percent selection weight in all 93 of its main island groups and Munchill has 28 mapped points in the whole game.

The alpha is 21 levels below the wild band. Level 11 against a floor of 32 is the widest gap of that kind you will meet this early, and it is the entire argument for taking the fight instead of waiting.
There is no Chillet between level 11 and level 32. If you kill the alpha the next cheapest one is a snowline catch two thirds of the way through the game, or a Frozen Egg you happen to find.
The 21 World Tree points at level 80 are not a second habitat. They are a shared spawner pool that rolls Chillet 1 in 72, so nobody should plan a trip around them, and the drop table there is relics rather than Ice Organ.
Why bother
Wriggling Weasel turns the player attack type to Dragon and adds 5 percent Attack while mounted, and Dragon is one of the harder damage types to get hold of early. Chillet also brings Cooling 2 for the incubator and drops 2 to 3 Ice Organ per catch, which matters long before the snow does.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where do you find Chillet in Palworld 1.0?

The level 11 alpha at [172, -418] near the Fortress Ruins is the practical answer. Wild Chillet spawn on 130 points along the Astral snowline at levels 32 to 41. The 21 World Tree points at level 80 are a shared pool that rolls 1 in 72, not a place to hunt.

Why is the alpha Chillet so much weaker than a wild one?

Because the wild band starts at 32 and the alpha is fixed at 11. There is nothing in between, so the alpha is the only low level Chillet in the game.

Which egg hatches a Chillet?

Frozen Eggs. The Windswept Hills pool holds only 2 outcomes and Chillet is half of it, which is the best egg route to this Pal and one you can use in the first hour.

What is Chillet weak to?

It is Ice and Dragon, so Fire hits the Ice half and Ice hits the Dragon half. Fire alone is enough for the level 11 alpha.

Is Chillet worth catching early?

Yes, mainly as a mount. It changes your attack type to Dragon and adds 5 percent Attack, and Dragon damage is otherwise hard to come by before the mid game.
