Digtoise has 982 mapped points and 325 of them sit on one desert table where it is 5.67 percent of the roll. The 13 point Scouring Islet table gives it 33.33 percent.

Digtoise has more mapped points than almost anything else in the desert, and the heat is actively misleading. Read the shares on each pin before you pick a patch: the biggest cluster here is the worst roll on the list.

The cheapest is Foxcicle with Helzephyr at level 24, nine levels below the wild band. Use it to set passives on a Mining team rather than to reach the Pal, because a Rocky Egg gets you one for nothing.

Digtoise has no field boss anywhere and no raid tier. One Hunter camp fields a single one with no level recorded, which is something that happens to you rather than a plan.

◆The shares here are selection weights, not observed catch rates. They are why 325 points in the Desiccated Dunes is worse ground than 13 points on Scouring Islet: the desert table is choosing between 18 Pals each time it fills a point, and the islet table between two.
◆The Twilight Dunes patch spawns at levels 33 to 37, not 19 to 22, and carries Mining 4, not Mining 3. No wild Digtoise appears below level 33 anywhere on the map. The only Digtoise under level 20 in the game is the Ravine Grotto cave alpha at 17 to 19.
◆Digtoise has no drop table, so a caught or defeated one gives you nothing on the ground. The ore comes from Drill Crusher while it follows you, not from the Pal itself.
Why bother
Drill Crusher is the reason to own one. Activate it and Digtoise spins beside you for 30 seconds with ore mining efficiency raised by 800 percent, on a 120 second cooldown, which turns a Paloxite or Quartz node into a few seconds of work. On a base it is Mining 4. It is not rideable and it has no drop table at all.
