Dogen is the child, so the map draws its parents. Vanwyrm Cryst carries the heat because it has the larger population and the earlier band, and the Vaelet patch is pinned beside it.

Dogen is on the roster of 2 Ninja camps, one inside the 01-02 camp and one on the third floor of 02-01, at one Pal each. No level is recorded for either entry, so treat this as something that happens while you are clearing a camp rather than a plan.
Every wild Dogen sits on a single spawner group at levels 53 to 56, 52 mapped points at 16.4 percent of the roll against Chillet Ignis, Sootseer, Yakumo and Bulldosu. Fine odds in a band you reach 30 levels after the pair would have worked.
Dogen is on the Sakurajima Cherry Blossom Cave boss table as an alpha at levels 51 to 52. There is no ordinary cave spawn for it, so a cave Dogen is always the alpha and always the harder version of the same catch.
