Walk the forest between Crescent Moon Shore and Autumn Rocks from level 25. 259 mapped points sit there, but Elphidran is 2.43 percent of that spawner table, so bring Mega Spheres and patience.

Where Elphidran actually stands

One forest band on the main island carries almost every mapped point, at levels 25 to 28. The level 30 field boss sits inside the same band, and the 12 points at the far west are in the forest Wildlife Sanctuary rather than on open ground.

Astral Mountains Cavern alpha

The snow cavern fields one Elphidran as a cavern boss at levels 42 to 45, alpha flagged, at group weight 10. This is the only Elphidran anywhere near the Astral Mountains, which matters because several guides send you to that region for the open-ground catch.

Elphidran Aqua is a different Pal

The Water form fills Paldeck 63B, and catching one does not fill this slot. It is also the harder of the two by a wide margin, and an Elphidran is one of the two parents that breeds it.

◆The main island range reads as levels 20 to 28, but that low end is the 12 sanctuary points folded into the same summary. On open mainland ground every mapped Elphidran is level 25 to 28, so do not plan a level 20 trip around the headline range.
◆Guides that send you to the Astral Mountains for a wild Elphidran are pointing at the cavern. There is a level 42 to 45 cavern boss there and no open-ground points in the snow at all. The forest band near Crescent Moon Shore is where the population is.
◆There are also 21 World Tree points at level 80. They all sit on one aura spawner shared by 72 Pals at equal weight, so a roll there is 1 in 72 and 71 other Pals record the identical coordinates. It is not a second population and not a place to hunt.
Why bother
Elphidran is a flying mount that gets faster the longer it stays airborne, and its partner skill Amicable Holy Dragon makes every Dark Pal in your party drop 40 percent more items when defeated. It is also a Lumbering level 3 worker, which is rare on a Pal you can ride. Each one drops 2 to 3 High Quality Pal Oil.
