How to Breed Gildane

Put a Frostplume and a Wumpo Botan in a Breeding Farm at about level 39. Both are fixed encounters you can plan, and every wild Gildane is level 53 or above in Feybreak.

Where to find the two parents

Gildane is the child, so the map draws its parents. Wumpo Botan carries the heat because its Sakurajima points are the ones you can walk to, and the Astral Mountains cavern that holds the only sub-endgame Frostplume is pinned beside it.

The Feybreak Huge Rocky Egg is a coin flip

The Huge Rocky Egg carries ten pools, and the Feybreak one has exactly two outcomes in it. That puts Gildane at 50 percent from any Huge Rocky Egg found in Feybreak, which is better odds than anything else in this Paldeck block gets from an egg.

354 points in Feybreak, from level 53

Five spawner groups carry Gildane at levels 53 to 66, from 8.3 percent on the forest table up to 14.9 percent on the small pink one. Respectable odds, 14 levels past the point where a pair would have got you there. Take one if you are working the region already.

A level 63 alpha in the open

One field boss at [-940, -1412], level 63, out in the open rather than behind a portal. It is fixed and it respawns, but it is 10 levels above the wild band and 24 above the breeding pair, so it is the most expensive route on this page.

Feybreak Cavern alpha only

Gildane is on the Feybreak Cavern boss table as an alpha at levels 56 to 58, with no ordinary cavern spawn. So a cavern Gildane is always the alpha, and always a harder fight than the ones grazing outside.

Alpha onlyLv 56 to 58Show dungeons on the map
Frostplume is the awkward half and the reason this route is rated Hard. Its 15 cavern points at levels 39 to 41 are the only Frostplume in the game below level 65, because its other 100 points are Sunreach sky island spawns.
The Ground attack type is not a bonus on top of your usual damage, it replaces it. Riding Gildane into a Grass fight is worse than walking, since Ground takes extra from Grass.
There is no rampaging spawn type anywhere in Palworld 1.0, so a rampaging Gildane encounter does not exist. The 354 points and the one boss are the whole wild record.
Why bother
Gildane is a mount that rewrites your damage. While you are riding it your attack type becomes Ground and your Attack goes up 5 percent, which turns it into a build choice rather than a taxi. Off the saddle it works Gathering at level 5 and drops 2 to 3 Leather.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest pair that makes a Gildane?

Frostplume with Wumpo Botan, at about level 39. Wumpo Botan has a fixed level 38 field boss, and Frostplume can be taken as a level 39 alpha in the Astral Mountains caverns.

Where does Gildane spawn in the wild?

Feybreak only. There are 354 mapped points across five spawner groups at levels 53 to 66, with a best share of 14.9 percent, plus a single level 63 field boss at [-940, -1412].

Which egg hatches into Gildane?
