How to Breed Helzephyr Lux

Breed a Helzephyr with a Beakon. Both are ordinary main island Pals from levels 24 and 30, while the wild ones sit at level 47 across the water on Sakurajima.

Where to find the two parents

Helzephyr Lux is the child, so the map shows the two birds you have to catch first. Helzephyr carries the heat because it is the easier half by a wide margin.

The route
1Catch a Helzephyr firstThe cheap half. It opens at level 24 with 1,123 mapped points, 332 of them on the Crescent Moon Shore, and it is Dark so Dragon damage brings it down.1,123 points, from level 24
2Catch a Beakon, or take its level 37 alphaBeakon is the real gate at level 30, with 501 mapped points concentrated in the desert. It is Electric, so Ground damage is the counter and a wet fight is the wrong one.Lv 30 wild, Lv 37 field boss
3Put the pair in togetherHelzephyr with Beakon gives Helzephyr Lux every time. Gender and order do not matter here, and no other cross-species pair in the game produces one.The only non-self pair that works
4Hatch it at the level you wantThe egg inherits from the parents, so a pair you have levelled gives a child you do not have to rebuild. That is the whole advantage over the level 47 Sakurajima spawns. You choose the passives, the island does not

The Sakurajima population

There are 80 mapped points on Sakurajima at levels 47 to 48. In the spawner group it shares there it carries a selection weight of 20 out of 142 against eight other Pals, so it is not the common result even on its own ground.

Huge Dark Egg from Sakurajima

The Sakurajima pool gives Helzephyr Lux more than four fifths of the time across four outcomes, which is the best rate any route here offers. The catch is that Huge eggs are rare and you cannot pick the level.

Cherry Blossom Cave boss

The Sakurajima cave pool fields Helzephyr Lux at Boss rank with the alpha flag, at levels 51 to 52. It is the highest level one you can reach without entering the World Tree region.

The Scientist camp rooms

Scientist camp 02-03 fields one Helzephyr Lux in its first floor east room and one in the west room. This is a thing that happens on a raid rather than a plan.

Beakon is the gate, not Helzephyr. Helzephyr opens at level 24 and Beakon at 30, so the pair costs about what a single Beakon costs and nothing more.
Wings of Thunder replaces your attack element with Electric while you ride. If you already fly Helzephyr for the Dark version, you are picking between the two rather than stacking them.
There are 21 World Tree points at level 80, but they are not a second population. All 21 sit on one aura spawner shared by 72 Pals at equal weight, so a roll there is 1 in 72. Sakurajima is the only Helzephyr Lux ground there is.
Why bother
Helzephyr Lux is a Transporting 5 worker, the top tier, and it generates electricity at level 4 on top of that. Its partner skill, Wings of Thunder, makes it a flying mount that turns your attacks Electric and adds 5 percent Attack.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What two Pals make Helzephyr Lux?

Helzephyr and Beakon, and that is the only cross-species pair in the game that produces one. The other listed pair is two Helzephyr Lux, which needs the Pal you are trying to get.

Can you catch Helzephyr Lux in the wild?

Yes, on Sakurajima. There are 80 mapped points at levels 47 to 48 and a Cherry Blossom Cave field boss at 51 to 52. The 21 World Tree points at level 80 are a shared aura table rolling 1 in 72, not a fourth place to look.

What level do I need to breed one?

High enough to take a level 30 Beakon, which is the gate. Helzephyr is catchable six levels earlier, so the Beakon half decides when this route opens.

What is Helzephyr Lux weak to?

It is Dark and Electric, so Dragon answers the Dark half and Ground answers the Electric half. Ground is the safer pick because it also ignores the shock its attacks apply.

Is Helzephyr Lux better than Helzephyr?

For a base, clearly. Transporting goes from 4 to 5 and it adds Electricity 4, which the base form does not have at all. As a mount it is the same bird with an Electric attack conversion instead of Dark.
