Jellroy: Location and How to Get It

Four hundred and forty five mapped points sit on the deep southern water at levels 14 to 63. A fishing rod reaches it far earlier, from level 1 in the tropical pool.

All 445 mapped Jellroy points. The population sits well out from the starting islands, and the two southern clusters are far enough from any named area that the marker carries the position instead of a coordinate.

The Tenraku common Damp pool holds exactly two results, so a Damp Egg from those routes is a coin flip on Jellroy. That is unusually generous for an egg.

Ravine Grotto fields an alpha at levels 17 to 19 in both boss slots, and Yakushima 001 carries a group of two to three at 39 to 41 with no alpha. Neither beats the open water for volume.

The two southern clusters are more than a kilometre from any named area, so this page gives no in game coordinate for them. Fly to the pin on the map instead of typing a number.
The watering half of Jellroy Drop only applies while a Jelliette is at the same base. Moving one of the pair away silently drops the bonus.
Jellroy is flagged nocturnal, but its mapped spawn points are not flagged night only, so daytime trips are still worth making.
Why bother
Jellroy raises salvaging yield by 55 percent, which is the fastest way to turn wreck piles into parts. It carries Watering 2, Handiwork 1, Medicine Production 1 and Transporting 1, and its watering speed jumps by half again when a Jelliette shares the base with it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where does Jellroy spawn in Palworld 1.0?

In deep water south west of the starting islands, across 445 mapped points at levels 14 to 63. The nearest cluster is at [-763, -950] in game and holds 152 of them.

Can you fish for Jellroy?

Yes, and it is the earliest route by a wide margin. There are 25 pools, including an Easy tropical table at weight 94 that runs from level 1 to 10.

What is Jellroy weak to?

It is Water and Dark, so Electric hits the Water half and Dragon hits the Dark half. Bringing both is better than doubling up on either.

Do I need Jelliette to use Jellroy?

Not for the salvaging bonus, which is 55 percent on its own. The 50 percent watering speed half of the skill only applies while Jelliette and Jellroy are at the same base.

Is there an Alpha Jellroy?

Only in dungeons. Ravine Grotto fields one at levels 17 to 19. There is no field boss on the surface, so there is no open world alpha to hunt.
