How to Breed Loomen

Breed Grizzbolt with Moldron at around level 32. Loomen is otherwise a World Tree catch at levels 75 to 77, and it has no alpha anywhere in the game to fall back on.

Where to find the two parents

Moldron and Grizzbolt breed into Loomen. The heatmap is Moldron, whose 101 points run from level 32 to 68 so you can choose how strong a parent to catch, and the Grizzbolt pin is a fixed level 30 alpha. Both are main island encounters.

Loomen has zero field bosses, zero raid tiers, zero quest boss steps, zero camp squad entries and zero dungeon spawns. Mycora shares its spawner table and does have an alpha. Loomen has none, so a hatched egg is the only Loomen you can plan on.

◆Loomen is one of 670 pairs that can produce it, a large enough set that most late game pairs you already own will land on it by accident. If you are hatching for something else and keep getting Loomen, that is why.
◆The 25.84 percent and 50 percent figures here are selection weights, not observed catch rates. They describe a share of one roll on a spawner table, not how often that spawner fires.
◆Loomen is nocturnal, but its World Tree spawn summary carries no night restriction, so the tag is behaviour rather than a spawn window. There is no reason to wait for dark.
Why bother
Loomen is a bow build in a Pal. Its partner skill Lantern Enchantment makes every arrow you fire explode on contact for an extra 15 percent of your attack damage, which turns a crossbow into an area weapon without changing your gear. At a base it is a flat Kindling 4, Handiwork 4 and Medicine Production 4, and each one drops 2 to 3 High Quality Pal Oil.

No. Loomen has no field boss, no raid tier, no quest step and no dungeon spawn. Mycora, which stands on the same spawner table, does have a level 78 alpha. Loomen has nothing.

What does Lantern Enchantment do?

While Loomen is in the party, your arrows explode on contact and deal extra damage equal to 15 percent of your attack damage. It does not stack, so one Loomen is the whole effect.
