How to Breed Lullu

Breed an Arsox with a Vanwyrm, both catchable in the twenties, rather than waiting for the level 40 wild band. Floral Boost is worth having long before Sakurajima is.

Where to find Arsox and Vanwyrm

Lullu has 35 mapped points and none below level 40, so the map draws the parent instead. The heat is every Arsox on the main island, with its level 15 boss pinned, Vanwyrm marked to the south and the one good Lullu patch marked for later.

The Sakurajima group carries 20 of the 35 points at levels 55 to 57. Its roster lists 7 Pals but 4 of them share the top weight of 40 and the other 3 sit at 3, so Lullu is 23.81 percent of a roll, not one seventh. Good ground, 15 levels too late to be the route.

◆Counting roster names would have called the Sakurajima group a one in seven roll. Four of those seven Pals hold weight 40 and three hold weight 3, so it is really 23.81 percent.
◆Every wild Lullu is level 40 or above and there is no field boss anywhere, so a Breeding Farm is the only way to hold one during the part of the game where a 50 percent crop bonus actually changes your day.
◆Lullu is also half of the only recipe for Quivern Botan, paired with Quivern. If you are breeding one of those, you need this one first.
Why bother
Floral Boost is one of the few partner skills that pays off while the Pal is sitting in the palbox: every crop at the base grows 50 percent faster. On top of that Lullu works three jobs, Planting 3, Handiwork 3 and Medicine Production 3, and drops 2 to 3 Beautiful Flower every time you catch one, which is the ingredient a medicine bench keeps running out of.
