How to Breed Maraith

Put a Broncherry and a Katress in a Breeding Farm. That is one level 23 field boss and one level 20 catch, against a wild Maraith whose densest ground is a 7.09 percent roll.

Where to find the two parents

Maraith is the child, so the map shows the parents: the Broncherry field boss you fight once and the Katress ground beside it. The third pin is the Maraith heatmap trap, marked so you know what you are looking at if you go hunting anyway.

The route
1Take the Broncherry field boss at [-222, -669]Level 23, fixed, and it respawns on server restart. Every wild Broncherry starts at 33 or above, so this one boss is the entire reason the pair is affordable.Lv 23 against a Lv 33 wild band
2Catch a Katress on the way backIt has 675 mapped points, 336 of them in one cluster at [39, -187], and the forest cave tables under that ground run levels 20 to 23. It is the easy half by a wide margin.675 points, from level 20
3Put the pair in togetherBroncherry with Katress gives Maraith every time. 243 pairs produce one, and this is the cheapest whose harder parent is a fixed encounter rather than a roll.243 pairs, this one costs Lv 23
4Hatch it and build the saddleMaraith is a mount, and its partner skill cuts every party Pal active skill cooldown by 30 percent each time you defeat something. On a run of small fights that compounds fast.30 percent cooldown cut per kill

The densest patch is the worst one

415 points across 15 spawner groups, and the shares run from 7.09 to 42.02 percent. The 105 point group at levels 40 to 45 is the largest and the weakest. The best is a 21 point group at [-190, 581] where Maraith takes 50 of 119 weight, but that one runs levels 54 to 59.

Large Dark Egg, 64.10 percent

The Astral Mountains common route pool on the Large Dark Egg holds four outcomes and gives Maraith 64.10 percent of them, with the rare route pool at 51.81 percent. That beats every wild group and every dungeon roll it has.

Two caverns field it

The Astral Mountains Cavern runs Maraith as a boss alpha at levels 42 to 45 and as a pair at 39 to 41, and the Cherry Blossom Cave carries it at 46 to 50. Two different caverns is more guaranteed rolls than most Pals get, and Maraith has no field boss at all.

One Hunter camp

A single Hunter camp fields one Maraith, with no fixed level. Treat it as something that happens to you while you are clearing the camp for other reasons.

Maraith is flagged nocturnal in the game data, but none of its 415 spawn points are night-only. It appears in the snow by day as well.
The shares here are selection weights, not observed catch rates. They are the reason a 105 point patch feels emptier than a 21 point one: the big group is choosing between ten Pals every time it fills a point, and the small one between seven.
Its best odds group and its lowest level group are at opposite ends of the range. If you want an early Maraith the answer is the Breeding Farm or a Large Dark Egg, not a better patch.
Why bother
Maraith is a mount whose partner skill, Messenger of Death, knocks 30 percent off the active skill cooldown of every Pal in your party each time you defeat an enemy. In a long fight against many small enemies that is a permanent uptime increase rather than a one off. On a base it brings Gathering 4 and Mining 4, and every catch drops Bone.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What two Pals make Maraith?

243 pairs produce one. The cheapest is Broncherry with Katress: a level 23 field boss and a level 20 catch, which is 15 levels under the earliest wild Maraith.

Where does Maraith spawn in Palworld 1.0?

Across 415 mapped points around the Astral Mountains at levels 38 to 59, with the densest cluster at [-23, 133]. That cluster is also its worst ground, at 7.09 percent of the roll.

Is Maraith a night-only spawn?

No. It is flagged nocturnal in the game data, but not one of its 415 spawn points is marked night-only, so waiting for dark buys you nothing.

Where are the best Maraith odds?

A 21 point group at [-190, 581] where it holds 50 of 119 selection weight, 42.02 percent. It runs levels 54 to 59, so it is the answer for a late player and no use to an early one.

Is Maraith worth riding?

Yes, mostly for the skill rather than the speed. Every enemy you defeat while it is in the party cuts all party active skill cooldowns by 30 percent, which stacks up quickly across a camp clear.
