One arena, two legendaries

A single field boss point in the deep northeast desert. Necromus and Paladius share it, so this pin is where both of them stand. The nearest mapped fast travel statue is 0.16 km out, which makes the approach a hop rather than a trek.

The route
1Fly to [440, 679]Deep desert, far northeast corner of the main island. A mapped fast travel statue sits 0.16 km from the arena, so once that one is unlocked every return trip is a short hop.Main island, 1 shared spot
2Pick your half by the clockNecromus is nocturnal and Paladius is not. Arrive after dark when you want Necromus on its own, and arrive in daylight when Paladius is the target. Turning up at the wrong hour is what puts two level 60 legendaries in front of you at once.Necromus nocturnal, Paladius not
3Carry both damage typesPaladius is pure Neutral and Dark is the only element with a bonus against it. Necromus is Dark and takes extra from Dragon instead. One element covers one half of the pair, so bring a Pal of each or the second fight drags.Dark for Paladius, Dragon for Necromus
4Drag your target off the shared groundThey hold the same patch of desert and pull together. Take whichever one you came for somewhere the other is not, on a fast mount, before any real damage goes out. Paladius at 145 defense outlasts Necromus at 120, so it is the safer one to hold in place.Defense 145 against 120
5Land the catch on one of them onlyLegendary Spheres, ten or more throws each is normal, and finish one capture completely before the other takes a hit. Two legendaries at low health in the same fight is how players end up killing the one they wanted.Legendary Spheres, 10+ throws each
6Come back, then farm the killsThe pair respawns on server restart, or roughly an hour on a solo world, and a failed attempt consumes nothing but the flight. Once both are caught the boss table pays 6 to 8 Ancient Civilization Parts and 6 to 8 Precious Entrails per kill, plus the Lightweight Hexolite Armor Schematic 4 at 3 percent.3 percent schematic per kill

OrderDo this
Take Paladius first, then come back at night

Paladius is the half most players are already equipped for, because Dark Pals are common and Neutral has no other counter. Catch it in daylight, let the arena reset, then return after dark, when the nocturnal flag on Necromus is doing the separating for you.

BreedingBlocked
No pair produces either one

Each has exactly one breeding combination, and it is the Pal breeding with itself, so both need the capture you are here for. The Breeding Farm is a technology 19 ancient unlock costing 2 Ancient Technology Points, which is a price for a route that cannot start.

RaidBlocked
No altar summon for either half

There is no Paladius slab and no Necromus slab. Five Pals in the whole game carry a summon tier and neither of these is one of them, so the shared desert encounter is the entire route for both.

0 raid tiers0 egg poolsSee every raid boss
Necromus has no separate encounter anywhere in the game. Every coordinate on this page is the shared arena, since Necromus and Paladius stand on the same ground.
Fighting both down at once usually costs you one of them to the kill. Capture one, let the pair respawn on a server restart or about an hour on a solo world, then return for the other.
The arena has no official place name. The nearest labelled area is 1.37 km away, so use [440, 679] and the pin rather than any region name quoted for this fight elsewhere.
Why bother
Both are ground mounts among the fastest in the game, Necromus double jumping while ridden and Paladius triple jumping, and each partner skill calls the other one in to fight beside you once you own the pair. Both run Lumbering 6 and Mining 6, and every capture pays 10 Hexolite, a Diamond and a Large Pal Soul at 100 percent.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where do Necromus and Paladius spawn in Palworld 1.0?

Both are level 60 field bosses on one patch of deep desert at [440, 679], in the far northeast of the main island. There is no second location for either of them.

How do you get Necromus in Palworld 1.0?

Beat and sphere it at the Paladius arena. Necromus has no separate location of its own, and this shared point is the only place it is ever met.

What are Necromus and Paladius weak to?

Necromus is Dark and takes extra damage from Dragon. Paladius is Neutral and takes extra from Dark. Bring one Pal of each so neither half of the pair turns into a stalemate.

Does the time of day change this fight?

Yes. Necromus is nocturnal and Paladius is not, so a night visit is how players isolate Necromus and a daytime visit is the cleaner one for Paladius.

Can you breed Necromus or Paladius?

Not from any other species. Each has exactly one combination and it is the Pal paired with itself, so the arena has to be won at least once first.
