How to Breed Reptyro

Breed Grizzbolt with Relaxaurus at level 30. Reptyro has 5 wild points in the whole game and a level 50 boss, so hunting it is 16 levels of waiting for a Pal you want while mining.

The heat is Relaxaurus, the parent you can reach at level 30, with the Grizzbolt boss pinned beside it. The other two pins are the whole of Reptyro itself: 5 mapped points and one field boss, all on Mount Obsidian.

Reptyro Cryst is easier and slightly better

The Cryst form fills Paldeck 129B, is Ice and Ground, and cuts ore weight by 35 percent instead of 30. It also has 163 mapped points against 5 and starts at level 42. It does not fill this Paldeck slot, but if you want the mining buff rather than the entry, it is the better trip.

◆Five mapped points is not the same as bad odds. The spawner group carrying them has a roster of one Pal, so the weight is the whole table and every fill is a Reptyro. The problem is the count and the level, not the competition.
◆The shares here are selection weights, not observed catch rates. This is the only Pal in this stretch of the Paldeck whose entire wild presence sits on a private spawner.
◆Ore-Loving Beast does not stack, so a second Reptyro adds nothing. If you already run a Reptyro Cryst for its 35 percent, this one is a Paldeck entry and a Kindling worker rather than an upgrade.
Why bother
Ore-Loving Beast cuts the weight of every kind of ore by 30 percent while Reptyro is in your party, and it does not stack, so one is the whole benefit. It is also a mount that carries Kindling 5 and Mining 5 in a single base slot, which is a rare pairing, and it drops 5 to 7 Flame Organ every time. The Cryst form does the ore trick at 35 percent instead.
