The desert cavern fields it as a boss and a mid-boss at levels 37 to 40, and both are alpha. There is no ordinary cave spawn and no field boss at all, so that cavern is the only place a large Surfent Terra exists below the Yamijima band.
The base form fills Paldeck 75, is pure Water, and carries Watering 3 and Farming 2 where this one has only Gathering 3. It is a water mount rather than a ground one and opens at level 12. Catching one does not fill this slot, though it is one of the two parents.
