Run the forest grottos around [11, -187] from level 20. Tarantriss is 16.67 percent of the normal cave table and arrives 2 or 3 at a time, so one good roll fills the slot.

The big pin is one cluster holding both the level 20 grotto entrances and the level 32 open forest. The boss pin is a single fixed level 35 boss, and the Feybreak pin is the late game cavern population.

The Bamboo Groves pool on the plain Dark Egg holds exactly one outcome and it is Tarantriss, so every one of those eggs hatches into this Pal. The marsh and forest pool gives it at 25 percent out of 3. The Dark Egg is the cheapest dark tier in the game.

Tarantriss is 20 percent of the normal Feybreak cavern table at levels 52 to 55 and 14.29 percent of its boss table, where it appears as an alpha at 56 to 58 or as a non-alpha pair at 50 to 55. Those are the highest level Tarantriss in the game.
There is exactly one camp squad appearance, in the cage room of a Ninja camp, with a count of 1 and no level recorded. Worth knowing about if you are clearing that camp anyway, not worth travelling for.

Because it only sits on the normal grotto table, not the monster-only one. On the table it does appear on it is 16.67 percent, and it spawns 2 or 3 at a time when it lands.
Which egg hatches a Tarantriss?
The plain Dark Egg from the Bamboo Groves. That pool has a single outcome, so the hatch is certain, and the Dark Egg is the cheapest dark tier there is.
Is Tarantriss a good mount?
It is the most mobile ground mount available around level 20. It can double jump while ridden and fire a web line to grapple and travel at speed, which covers terrain other ground mounts cannot.
Is Tarantriss a good source of Venom Glands?
One of the best early ones. Every catch drops 2 to 5 Venom Glands and 2 to 5 Fiber, both at 100 percent, and a grotto spawn gives 2 or 3 Tarantriss to work through.
