The Sealed Realm, and the island you do not need yet

One level 35 boss on the main island, and 83 wild points on Sakurajima that all sit 17 levels above it. The portal is the answer at almost every stage of the game, and the Sakurajima patches are here so you know what you are skipping.

The route
1Fly to [285, 10] and take the portalThe Sealed Realm of the Swift, on the main island near the Scars of War. Sealed Realms are fixed entrances rather than random caves, so this pin never moves.Main island, 1 of 18 Sealed Realms
2Bring Fire damageVerdash is pure Grass, so Fire is the only element with a bonus against it. At level 35 the fight is short with Fire and a slog without, because it moves faster than you do.Grass, weak to Fire
3Weaken it, then throw Giga SpheresRarity 8 at level 35 means a Giga Sphere is the sensible tier. Put your team on passive before the last hit, because a fast Pal at low health is easy for a party member to finish.Rarity 8 at level 35
4If you lose, walk back inSealed Realm bosses come back. Failing costs you the spheres you threw and the trip, and nothing else is consumed, which is what makes this cheaper than breeding for a five level saving. No cake, no consumed item
5Keep it in the party for the traversalGrassland Gymnast gives you one extra jump and one extra mid-air dash while Verdash is in the party. It does not stack, so a second Verdash changes nothing.Plus 1 jump, plus 1 air dash

83 points on Sakurajima, all 17 levels above the boss

Two Sakurajima spawner tables carry Verdash at levels 52 to 53, and it is the heaviest Pal on both at 30.9 and 25.6 percent of the roll. Good odds in a band you reach 17 levels after the boss is available, so this is where you go for a high level one, not for your first.

BreedingOnly for passives
189 pairs, about five levels cheaper

The cheapest pair prices at about level 30 against the level 35 boss, which is not enough of a saving to be worth a farm and a cake unless you want specific passives. The boss respawns and costs nothing to lose, and breeding does neither.

Huge Verdant Egg, two good pools

Verdash sits at 25.8 percent of the Bamboo Groves pool and 23.3 percent of the Sakurajima pool of the Huge Verdant Egg. Both are well above an even share, so any Huge Verdant Egg from those regions is a reasonable shot at one.

The extra jump and air dash apply while Verdash is in your party, not at a base, and they do not stack with a second Verdash. One slot buys the whole effect.
The boss sits exactly on the Sealed Realm of the Swift entrance at [285, 10], so this is a portal fight.
Verdash is the heaviest Pal on both of its Sakurajima tables. If you want a level 53 one for a build, that is a real hunt with good odds rather than a grind.
Why bother
Verdash is a movement upgrade you wear as a party slot: one extra jump and one extra mid-air dash, permanently, while it is with you. It is also one of the better all-round base workers in the game, with Handiwork 5, Gathering 5, Planting 4, Lumbering 3 and Transporting 3.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Verdash boss in Palworld 1.0?

Inside the Sealed Realm of the Swift, at [285, 10] on the main island. It is level 35, fixed, and it respawns if the fight goes badly.

What level should I be to catch Verdash?

About 35 with Giga Spheres and a Fire Pal. Verdash is pure Grass, so Fire is the only element with a bonus, and it moves fast enough that chasing it without one wastes spheres.

Can you catch Verdash in the wild?

Yes, on Sakurajima at levels 52 to 53 across 83 mapped points. It is the heaviest Pal on both of those tables at 30.9 and 25.6 percent, but every one of those spawns is 17 levels above the boss.

Does Verdash give a double jump?

It adds one jump and one mid-air dash while it is in your party. That is the reason most players want one, and it does not stack, so a single Verdash is the whole upgrade.

Is Verdash worth a base slot?

Yes. Handiwork 5, Gathering 5, Planting 4, Lumbering 3 and Transporting 3 is one of the broadest work spreads in the game, so it covers gaps rather than specialising.
