Eighty eight of its 118 mapped points sit in a single stretch of the southern hills at levels 9 to 10. Walk the whole patch, because it is roughly a one in 13 roll.

One patch holds nearly all of them

Woolipop is not spread around. The southern hills pin covers 100 of the 118 mapped points, and the other two pins are 8 points each.

1Walk the southern hills at [-178, -452]Eighty eight of the 118 mapped points are inside this one patch. It is open grass, so a slow circuit on foot sees everything that spawned.88 of 118 points, levels 9 to 10
2Ignore the Cawgnito and keep walkingNine Pals share the ground. Woolipop carries 40 of 512 weight, so about one roll in 13, and Cawgnito carries 180 and Loupmoon 150. Clearing them does not improve the next roll.40 of 512 pool weight
3Basic Pal Spheres, thrown from full healthAt levels 9 to 10 there is nothing to soften. Woolipop is Neutral and takes extra from Dark, but bringing a Dark Pal to this fight is how you lose the catch.Neutral, weak to Dark
4Put it on a Ranch, not in the partyFarming 1 is its only work entry, so a base cannot pull it onto handiwork or hauling the way it pulls everything else. It sits on the Ranch and makes Cotton Candy.1 work entry in the whole profile

The grotto table rolls Woolipop two at a time at levels 14 to 17, and as a single alpha at 17 to 19. With no field boss anywhere, that alpha is the highest Woolipop the game will give you.

Woolipop Terra is a different Pal

It fills Paldeck 39B, it is Ground rather than Neutral, it makes Caramel Cotton Candy instead of the plain kind, and it lives at levels 55 to 60 on one small island. Catching it does not fill this slot.

Woolipop is one of six results in the marsh and forest pool, and one of eight in the large version. Fine if you already have eggs sitting in an incubator, pointless as a plan.

82 pairs land on Woolipop

A wide result, so most starter Pals you already own reach it. The reason to run it is a passive set or a level above 19, not the Pal itself, since the wild patch is 10 minutes away.

Overworld Woolipop caps at level 10. The Ravine Grotto is the only place in the game that produces one higher, and it tops out at 19.
Farming 1 is the entire work profile. Base Pals with a single suitability do not get reassigned, which is exactly why this one stays on the Ranch when a busier Pal would not.
Candy Pop does not stack. A second Woolipop at the same base adds Cotton Candy production but no extra hunger reduction.
Why bother
Candy Pop cuts the hunger depletion rate of every Pal at the base by 10 percent, which is a base-wide effect from one Pal standing on a Ranch. While it stands there it also produces Cotton Candy, and every catch drops High Quality Pal Oil.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where does Woolipop spawn in Palworld 1.0?

In one patch of the southern hills at [-178, -452], which holds 100 of its 118 mapped points at levels 9 to 10. Two thin outliers of 8 points each sit north and east of it.

How do I get a high level Woolipop?

From the Ravine Grotto, which rolls it at levels 14 to 17 and as an alpha at 17 to 19, or from a Breeding Farm. The overworld population is a hard level 10 ceiling.

What does Woolipop produce on a Ranch?

Cotton Candy, through the Candy Pop partner skill. Standing at the base it also cuts hunger depletion for every Pal there by 10 percent, and every catch drops High Quality Pal Oil.

Is Woolipop Terra just a recoloured Woolipop?

No. It is Paldeck 39B, it is Ground instead of Neutral, it makes Caramel Cotton Candy, it cuts hunger by 15 percent instead of 10, and it spawns at levels 55 to 60 rather than 9 to 10.

Is there an Alpha Woolipop on the map?

No. There is no field boss for it. The only alpha version is the Ravine Grotto roll at levels 17 to 19, which you have to go underground for.
