How to Get Xenogard

One camp squad fields a Xenogard, in a Scientist camp entrance, and there are 3 known Scientist camps. There are no wild spawn points for it anywhere.

The three mapped Scientist camps

Xenogard is fielded by exactly one squad, at a Scientist camp first floor entrance. Three Scientist camp points are known on the main island, so all three circles are drawn as possibilities. Xenovader is in that same entrance squad plus a second camp, so a run that finds one may well find the other.

  • Scientist camp, north: Approximate area around the Scientist camp at [-194, 255]. The squad room is known but not its exact position inside the camp.
  • Scientist camp, east: Approximate area around the Scientist camp at [-299, 459]. One of these three camps holds the entrance squad that fields a Xenogard.
  • Scientist camp, south east: Approximate area around the Scientist camp at [-394, 446]. Three Scientist camps are known and only one squad fields a Xenogard, so expect to clear more than one.

Xenovader

Paldeck 145 is the Dark alien to this one at 146, and it is the more common of the pair: two Scientist camp squads against one, including the same entrance squad this Pal sits in. It is not rideable, its Mining is nothing against Mining 4 here, and its party bonus is full-auto damage rather than energy weapon damage.

◆Xenogard and Xenovader share the same Scientist camp entrance squad, so a camp that produces one can produce both. Bring spheres for two, because the second alien is the rarer half and there is no second mapped squad for it.
◆Only three Pals in the game drop Meteorite Fragment at all, and Xenogard gives the most at 5 to 12 per catch against 3 to 10 for Xenovader. It is also the only one of the three that drops High Quality Pal Oil alongside it.
Why bother
Xenogard is a rideable Dragon that adds 10 percent to your energy weapon damage while it is in the party, which is a narrow bonus that pays only on that weapon class. Its real draw is the drop sheet: 5 to 12 Meteorite Fragment and 3 to 5 High Quality Pal Oil on every catch, both at 100 percent, and it works Mining 4 at a base.
