The detail was shared by Fortnite leaker HYPEX on July 20 and reported by outlets including OtakuKart and Insider Gaming. The screenshot places Palworld among the games Epic is asking Fortnite players about.
That is real. A Fortnite x Palworld collaboration is not.
Neither Epic Games nor Pocketpair has announced a crossover, cosmetic set, Creative island, event, or release date. For now, the survey is evidence that Epic wants audience data about Palworld players. It is not proof that a deal exists.
What appeared in the Fortnite survey#
The reported in-game question asks players which titles they have played recently, with Palworld included as one of the available responses. That kind of question can help Epic understand where Fortnite's audience overlaps with other games and genres.

The new survey mention now arrives after Palworld's full 1.0 launch on July 10. A high-profile release gives Epic a straightforward reason to measure current audience overlap, even if no collaboration is being planned.
The survey makes the old conversation interesting again. It does not turn that conversation into a contract.
Palworld would fit Fortnite's current creature push#
Fortnite has also been expanding what companions can do. Epic's Sidekicks system now supports scriptable creature NPCs in Unreal Editor for Fortnite, with tools aimed at monster battlers, creature-collection RPGs, farming games, and companion adventures.
That does not connect Sidekicks to Palworld, but it makes the possible formats more interesting than a basic Item Shop skin drop.
