Palworld's Giant Pal Glitch Is Back, and the Whole Server Can See It

Picking up a Pal in Palworld 1.0 can blow it up to roughly 200 times its normal size, bald spot included. Two years after the original balloon Vixy bug, the community verdict is unchanged, and it is not "please fix".

Somewhere on a Palworld multiplayer server right now, a Sekhmet roughly 200 times her normal size is towering over somebody's base, and every player on the map can see her. She is also, for reasons nobody can explain, bald.

The giant Pal glitch is back in 1.0, and it made the rounds this week after an r/Palworld post turned one player's pickup mishap into the community's favorite screenshot. It is the return of a bug with real history: the same kind of accidental kaiju first charmed the game two years ago, got patched, and has now clawed its way back.

A 200x Sekhmet, hold the hairdo#

The post that kicked this off came from u/RanidSpace on r/Palworld, whose screenshots show a skyscraper-scale Sekhmet looming over a seaside base with the World Tree in the background.

I picked up Sekhmet and she became bald (until thrown down) and at least 200x her normal size. No mods and was visible by all players in multiplayer.

Every detail in that sentence matters. The trigger was an ordinary pickup. The baldness reversed the moment she was thrown. The game was vanilla. And the giant was not a local rendering hiccup: every player on the server saw the same colossus. GamesRadar picked the story up within days, and commenters on the original post immediately started sharing giants of their own, including a supersized Suzaku.

The trigger is just picking them up#

RageGamingVideos pulled the sightings together in their latest 1.0 tips roundup: multiple independent reports, all unmodded, all describing the same thing. A Pal gets picked up, and on the way down it comes back wrong, in the best possible way.

There is no confirmed recipe. Nobody has isolated the exact conditions that turn a routine pickup into a kaiju, so the only known method is volume: pick your Pals up, put them down, and hope the dice land your way.

Two years after the balloon Vixy#

Veterans will remember this bug's first life. In February 2024, during early access, u/kaityl3's lucky Vixy quietly grew a little larger every time they returned to their base, until it loomed over the whole build. Other players reported ballooning an Anubis the same way. Pocketpair patched it within weeks, and the giant Pals went extinct.

The 1.0 version is faster and stranger than the original. The 2024 bug inflated Pals gradually, over many visits. The 2026 bug does it in one shot, adds temporary hair loss, and broadcasts the result to the entire server.

Nobody wants this one patched#

The community reaction is the same as it was two years ago: this is a feature. The glitch harms nothing, the screenshots are spectacular, and half the replies to every giant Pal post are players asking how to get one of their own.

Two years of patches later, the funniest bug in Palworld still will not die, and nobody is complaining.

The v1.0.3 patch notes make no mention of Pal size, pickups, or scaling, so the giants are safe for now. If you roll one, take the screenshots before you throw anything: the baldness cure is instant, and nobody will believe you otherwise. And while you wait for the dice to bless your own base, the same update is full of working tricks, like looting entire enemy bases without a fight.
