Four Fragments. Two Armies. One Dragon Egg.

Build the standard slab from the right loot systems, stage a Water opener and Ground closer, survive the resurrection, and turn one level 55 raid victory into your first owned Blazamut Ryu.

The complete ownership chain

Seven steps from the first slab fragment to a hatched Ryu

Blazamut Ryu is not a wild catch and the summoned raid boss cannot be captured. The first owned copy comes from the Huge Dragon Egg awarded after the standard victory, so every preparation decision should protect that one complete chain.

01
Supply

Collect four fragments

Use guaranteed high-tier expeditions first, then camps and treasure pools as parallel progress.

02
Supply

Craft one standard slab

The first fragment unlocks the recipe. Four matching fragments become one summon.

03
Raid

Prepare a raid battlefield

Use the dedicated raid battlefield or a disposable base with clean Palbox lanes and no valuable production.

04
Raid

Summon level 55 Ryu

The slab is consumed when offered, so the cost is identical whether the attempt wins, wipes, or times out.

05
Raid

Clear both combat phases

Open with a Water army, then replace it with Ground attackers when Ryu resurrects as Electric.

06
Ownership

Claim the Huge Dragon Egg

The victory egg is the supported ownership route. The summoned raid boss itself is not a Sphere target.

07
Ownership

Incubate and hatch

Move the reward to an incubator and complete the timer to place Blazamut Ryu in your Palbox.

02
Fix the common farming mistake

Farm fragments through expeditions, camps, and chests, not dungeons

The current item record lists 22 fragment sources and none is a dungeon. Desert Hard and Sakurajima Hard expeditions are the anchors at a guaranteed one to two fragments. Cherry Blossom Cave is still useful because its separate roll can skip the recipe and award the finished slab.

03
Protect the Palbox and the swap lanes

Build an expendable arena before you spend the slab

A dedicated raid battlefield is the cleanest option when available. If you fight at a base, use wide flat terrain, move production elsewhere, place the altar far forward, and preserve two separate reserve lanes so defeated bodies never block the phase-two swap.

A

Protected Palbox

Keep the swap terminal at the rear edge, screened from the altar and reachable from both reserve lanes.

B

Stage the opening Fire and Dragon counter army together so the first deployment is immediate.

C

Ground reserve

Keep the Electric-phase counter army separate and healthy until the resurrection cue.

D

Supply bunker

Cache ammunition, food, repair materials, recovery items, and a second equipment set.

E

Altar and combat bowl

Place the summon far from the Palbox with open ground, no cliffs, and enough room for large bodies.

A raid base is a combat tool, not a home

The safest layout protects the Palbox at the rear, keeps Water and Ground reserves separate, centralizes supplies, and leaves a large uncluttered bowl between the altar and everything valuable.

04
The resurrection is the real boss mechanic

Open with Water, recall on the revive, and close with Ground

The opening Fire and Dragon form invites a Water-heavy army. Near the end, Blazamut Ryu heals and returns as Electric, turning that same Water roster into a liability. The clear depends on recognizing the cue and replacing the base army fast enough.

Do not ask one roster to win two different matchups

Water creates the opening advantage. Ground preserves it after the resurrection. The Palbox swap is a planned combat phase, not an emergency improvisation.

05
Inspect before offering the tablet

Pass five readiness checks before consuming the summon

A single perfect party does not replace a raid-base roster. Verify two healthy armies, fast Palbox access, sustained trainer ammunition, a recoverable battlefield, and at least one spare slab. The first attempt should produce a clear or a useful diagnosis, not a farming reset.

01
Can the Ground wave remain untouched until phase two?

Two complete armies

Do not count one mixed group twice. Water and Ground need separate healthy depth.

02
Can you swap the whole base roster under pressure?

Fast Palbox access

Practice the exact storage rows before spending the slab.

03
Can your ammunition last through both phases?

Sustained trainer damage

Use a strong ranged weapon, attack food, a repaired backup, and enough ammo for the full timer.

04
Can the base survive a failed attempt?

Recoverable arena

Remove production, decorations, and irreplaceable storage from the raid footprint.

05
Can you afford to learn without restarting the farm?

More than one summon

Bank two or three slabs before the first serious attempt because every summon consumes one.

06
The egg is the handoff

Know exactly when Blazamut Ryu becomes yours

The raid and ownership systems meet only after victory. Collect and incubate the reward egg for the first copy. Once you own a male and female, the self-pair can produce more Ryus, but ordinary Blazamut parents and random wild eggs do not provide a shortcut.

07
Choose the right finish line

Standard earns ownership; Ultra earns the trophy

Both slabs summon the same species at radically different tuning. Standard is the level 55 acquisition project. Ultra jumps to level 80, sharply raises damage pressure and durability, and exists for the harder reward pool and Horns of Supremacy.

Blazamut Ryu questions answered without mixing loot systems

Keep four rules together: fragments come from the 22 listed non-dungeon channels, Sakurajima dungeons can roll the full slab, the raid boss itself is not caught, and the Water-to-Ground switch decides the fight. Everything else is optimization.

Fast raid answers

Blazamut Ryu acquisition and raid FAQ

How do you get Blazamut Ryu in Palworld 1.0?

Collect four standard slab fragments, craft the Blazamut Ryu Slab, defeat the level 55 raid through both phases, then incubate the Huge Dragon Egg reward.

Where do Blazamut Ryu Slab Fragments drop?

The current item dataset lists 22 fragment sources: seven expeditions, 11 enemy camp goal rewards, and four treasure pools. Desert Hard and Sakurajima Hard expeditions each return 1 to 2 at 100 percent.

Do Sakurajima dungeons drop slab fragments?

The fragment has no dungeon acquisition row. The Cherry Blossom Cave technology-book pool can instead drop one complete standard slab at 25.25 percent.

Can you capture Blazamut Ryu during the raid?

No. Defeat the standard raid and hatch its Huge Dragon Egg reward to own the Pal.

What counters Blazamut Ryu?

Use Water against the opening Fire and Dragon form. When Ryu resurrects as Electric, recall Water Pals and deploy a fresh Ground army.

Can you breed Blazamut Ryu?

Yes, through the same-species pair after you own a male and female. Ordinary Blazamut parents do not produce Blazamut Ryu.

What is the difference between standard and Ultra?

Standard is the level 55 ownership route. Ultra is level 80, is tuned far more aggressively, and adds the Horns of Supremacy trophy to its higher-tier reward pool.
