Someone looked at Palworld's late-game oil grind and built a private petrostate.
The community build claims roughly 260,000 Crude Oil in twelve hours, or 21,000 to 22,000 per hour. The screenshot is a hypnotic wall of extractors arranged in rings around power infrastructure. It is ridiculous. It is overkill. It is also a clean demonstration of how Palworld 1.0 quietly removed the old oil-node ceiling.
The number that set Reddit on fire#
The original facility post reports 21,000 to 22,000 oil per hour and about 260,000 over twelve hours. Hundreds of players immediately asked the same two questions: how can that many extractors fit in one base, and what could possibly power them?
The first answer is the High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor. Unlike the level 50 Crude Oil Extractor, the level 51 ancient-tech version does not need an oil node. It needs dirt, electricity, and an industrial amount of materials.

The second answer is density. When the extractor is no longer tied to a handful of map nodes, the base circle becomes a placement puzzle. Every patch of valid ground can become production.
What one high-pressure extractor costs#
The level 51 High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor is an ancient technology unlock costing 4 Ancient Technology Points. Each machine takes 300 Pal Metal Ingots, 50 Circuit Boards, 50 Bio Batteries, and 10 Ancient Civilization Parts.
That recipe is why copying the viral screenshot all at once is a trap. Ten extractors already demand 3,000 Pal Metal Ingots and 500 Circuit Boards. A giant ring is not a clever shortcut around the economy. It is what you build after you have beaten the economy.
The level 75 Ancient Power Generator is the other endgame anchor. It costs 100 Paloxite Ingots, 200 Electric Organs, and 10 Ancient Civilization Cores. Current commenters report astonishing power density from one maxed worker on that generator, including claims of more than seventy extractors. Treat those counts as community results, not a universal guarantee. Worker rank, condensation, passives, world settings, uptime, and pathing all change the outcome.
The fracking layout that actually scales#
The viral base uses concentric rings. That is visually perfect, but the functional idea is more important than the circle.
- 1Place the generator at the center
Give the electricity and cooling worker a direct path with no storage or decorative clutter.
- 2Build a small inner ring
Start with enough extractors to test power draw and pickup, not enough to empty your warehouses.
- 3Put storage on the transport edge
Chests belong near the route that Transporting Pals naturally cross, not beside the generator.
- 4Add one ring at a time
Watch for unpowered machines, oil waiting inside extractors, and Pals choosing the wrong job.
- 5Stop when logistics fall behind
Another extractor is wasted if its output never reaches storage.
The cleanest practical design has three zones:

Do not put the storage chest deep inside the ring simply because it looks central. That forces every transporter through the busiest part of the base. A clear outside lane often produces more usable oil than one extra inner extractor.
Power is not the bottleneck players expect#
The thread's most surprising replies are about how little labor the power side can require. Players describe large facilities running from one Ancient Power Generator and a very small power team.
That does not mean you should start with one worker and seventy machines. It means the new generator changes the planning order:
- Secure reliable electricity and any required cooling.
- Measure how quickly the charge recovers while every extractor is active.
- Add transporters until oil no longer waits inside machines.
- Only then spend materials on more extractors.
Orserk is a natural visual mascot for the build, but your best worker is the one that keeps the generator charged through the full test window. Condensation, work speed, nocturnal uptime, food, and SAN stability can matter more than a pretty suitability number.
If your facility dies overnight, you do not have an extractor problem. You have an uptime problem.
The hidden limit is transporting one item at a time#
Several players in the discussion hit the same wall: transporters can waste elite work stats on tiny pickups. When dozens of machines each expose a small output stack, a Pal can spend more time choosing and walking than carrying.
The strongest fixes are boring:
- Make oil the only loose output in the base.
- Use one or two destination chests, not a decorative warehouse maze.
- Keep beds, food, and generator access off the main pickup lane.
- Prefer dark or sleepless transport options for overnight output.
- Manually collect from any decorative outer ring that Pals cannot reach.
This is why a dedicated base wins. A mixed base asks the same transporter to choose between oil, Synthesizer output, food, ore, and random dropped materials. A fracking base gives it one decision.
Do you need 260K oil?#
Probably not.
Crude Oil still feeds important late-game chains, and the Wing Pack's oil and power math can make a reserve feel smaller than expected. But even players in the viral thread joke that the facility is more “numbers go up” than necessity.
That is fine. Palworld's endgame is partly about turning a resource that once controlled you into a resource you can ignore.
Before spending a warehouse on extractors, compare the opportunity cost against endgame expeditions and their rewards per hour. If your real bottleneck is AI Cores, Paloxite, or Bio Batteries, another oil ring is just an expensive monument to the wrong problem.
Build the first ring because you need oil. Build the third because you can.
