Palworld v1.0.1 is live with four targeted bug fixes, led by a safeguard against save data being unintentionally discarded. The hotfix also clears a persistent burning bug and two console-specific problems on PlayStation and Xbox.
Every fix in Palworld v1.0.1#
Pocketpair's official v1.0.1 notes list four fixes:
- Save data: Fixed an issue where certain operations could unintentionally discard save data.
- Burning status: Fixed an issue where touching a campfire could leave the burning status active.
- PlayStation: Fixed a save error that could repeat when returning to the title screen.
- Xbox: Fixed a freeze that could last about 30 seconds after teleporting.

What players should do now#
The save-data change is the headline fix, but the announcement describes prevention rather than recovery. It does not say that version 1.0.1 can restore progress that was already lost.
Install the update before loading an important world, then confirm the game reports v1.0.1. For the wider launch changes, read our complete Palworld 1.0 patch notes. If a modded install behaves differently after updating, work through the Palworld 1.0 mod survival guide before adding mods back.
