How to Breed Celesdir Noct

Put a Celesdir and a Kitsun Noct in a Breeding Farm. Both are Feybreak catches around level 54 to 61, which is a whole region earlier than the level 79 World Tree boss.

Where to find the two parents

Celesdir Noct is the child, so the map shows the two Pals you have to catch first. Both live on Feybreak, whose in-game coordinates fall outside the range the main island map prints, so the pins carry the position.

The route
1Catch a Celesdir on the eastern plateauLevel 54 and up, 1,631 mapped points, but only about 2 percent of the roll in the best groups. If the sweep drags, its level 65 alpha at [-965, -1172] is a guaranteed one.Neutral, so bring Dark
2Catch a Kitsun Noct on the same plateauLevels 61 to 66 across 354 mapped points, with a level 65 alpha at [-847, -1307]. It is Dark, so a Dragon attacker shortens the fight.354 points, Lv 61 to 66

One level 79 boss in the World Tree

The only place to find Celesdir Noct anywhere is a single field boss at [-1928, 1404] in the World Tree, level 79, north of the Gilded City Ruins watchtower. It is a guaranteed catch and it is 18 levels above the breeding route, so take it when you are already there.

Large Dark Egg from the World Tree

The World Tree Large Dark Egg pool carries 8 results and this is one of them, so roughly 1 egg in 7. The Huge Dark Egg entry sits in an 11 result pool, which is a far worse bet than breeding.

It has no wild population at all

Zero spawn points, zero camp squads, zero raid tiers and zero quest steps. Unlike most Pals with a thin wild list, there is nothing here to hunt for and no aura table to misread either. The field boss and the Breeding Farm are the whole of it.

Celesdir is a different Pal

Plain Celesdir fills Paldeck 157 and this one fills 157B. It is Neutral rather than Dark, its Lumbering is 7 rather than 8, it has 1,631 wild spawn points against zero here, and it is one of the two parents on this page.

Paldeck 157 against 157BLumbering 7 against 8How to get Celesdir
This Pal is nocturnal, which matters for the base rather than the hunt: there is no wild population whose spawn window you could miss, but a nocturnal Pal works differently on a day cycle.
The relic drops are much thinner than plain Celesdir. Where Celesdir gives 30 to 50 Decayed Ancient Relic at 100 percent, this form gives 1 to 10 at 10 percent. What it adds instead is World Tree Holy Water and a Dark Radiant Gem, both at 50 percent.
Two Celesdir Noct also breed into Celesdir Noct, so once you have one the second is a formality. Getting the first is the only part of this that costs anything.
Why bother
Lumbering level 8 is the reason this Pal exists. It is one level above plain Celesdir and near the ceiling for the whole game, and it keeps Gathering 4 alongside it. Its partner skill, Blessing of Chaos, gives the Pal fighting beside you 40 percent more Attack while draining its Health, which is a damage trade rather than a free buff.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What two Pals make Celesdir Noct?

Celesdir with Kitsun Noct, and that is the only cross-species pair in the game. Two Celesdir Noct also produce one, which does not help until you already have two.

Can you catch Celesdir Noct in the wild?

Only as a boss. There are zero spawn points for it and one field boss, level 79, at [-1928, 1404] in the World Tree. There is no ordinary wild population to look for.

Is it faster to breed one or fight the boss?

Breed. The pair needs a level 54 Celesdir and a level 61 Kitsun Noct, both on Feybreak, while the boss is level 79 and sits behind World Tree access. That is a whole region of progression apart.

Is Celesdir Noct better than Celesdir for a base?

For lumber, yes. Lumbering goes from 7 to 8, which is near the ceiling in the game, and Gathering stays at 4. The trade is the relic drops, which fall from 100 percent rates on Celesdir to 10 percent and below here.

What does Blessing of Chaos actually do?

It gives the Pal fighting alongside you 40 percent more Attack and drains the Health of that same Pal steadily while it applies. It does not stack, so a second Celesdir Noct in the party adds nothing.
