Every Elgrove spawn on the map

Elgrove is a small population in two very different places: one open patch on the main island, and a much denser pocket inside a Wildlife Sanctuary.

The route
1Fast travel and walk to [-182, -352]The Palpagos grassland patch holds 62 of the 75 mapped points. Everything else on the island is a single spawn point or a restricted zone, so this is the walk.62 of 75 mapped points
2Bring Fire and expect to be chargedElgrove is pure Grass, so Fire is the counter. It closes distance and hits hard for a level 25 Pal, so fight it from a slope rather than standing in the open.Grass takes extra from Fire
3Throw a Mega Sphere under half healthThe band is only 24 to 26, so there is no reason to overspend. Mega Spheres land reliably here and a Giga Sphere is wasted on this level.Levels 24 to 26, a narrow band
4If the patch is quiet, try the sanctuary insteadThe forest sanctuary holds only 12 points, but Elgrove carries a selection weight of 80 out of 320 in the group there against 30 out of 803 on the island. Far fewer rolls, far better odds per roll.25 percent of the group, against 3.7 percent
5A failed catch costs you nothingElgrove has no field boss and no timer. If the sphere breaks, the Pal is still standing there, and the patch repopulates on its own.No slab, no cooldown

The marsh and forest pool gives Elgrove more than half the time across six outcomes on a Large Verdant Egg. Note the Huge version is the opposite trap: nine outcomes and roughly one chance in ninety.

The 21 World Tree points are a 1 in 72 roll

Elgrove has 21 World Tree points at level 80. They are one aura spawner shared by 72 Pals at equal weight, so a roll there is 1 in 72 and 71 other Pals hold the same coordinates. There is no Elgrove ground to walk in that region.

Elgrove Cryst

The Ice variant is Paldeck 81B and fills its own slot. It is pure Ice rather than Grass, it lives only in the World Tree, and this Elgrove is one of its two parents.

Breeding to that level needs one pair that cheap, using a Mimog. Mimog cannot be bred and carries a selection weight of only 3 out of 803 in the group it shares with Elgrove, roughly one roll in 270. Catching Elgrove directly wins outright.
Half of every Elgrove you catch drops 1 to 3 World Tree Holy Water. If you are short on that, this is a better source than most Pals you can reach at level 25.
The sanctuary pocket and the island patch hold the same levels, 24 to 26. Going into a restricted zone buys you better odds per spawn, not a stronger Elgrove.
Why bother
Elgrove covers five jobs in one slot: Planting 3, Lumbering 3, Transporting 3, Gathering 2 and Mining 2. That is unusual spread for a Pal you can own before level 30. Its partner skill turns your attacks Grass and adds 30 percent Attack for 30 seconds on a 50 second cooldown.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where does Elgrove spawn in Palworld 1.0?

In one grassland patch on the main island at [-182, -352], which holds 62 of its 75 mapped points, and in a 12 point pocket inside the forest Wildlife Sanctuary. Both bands are levels 24 to 26.

Why do I keep finding other Pals instead of Elgrove?

Because on the island Elgrove is only 30 of an 803 weight spawner group shared with ten other Pals. Inside the forest sanctuary it is 80 out of 320, which is roughly seven times better per spawn.

Is there an Alpha or boss Elgrove?

No. Elgrove has no field boss, no dungeons and no enemy camps anywhere. The only entries above level 26 are 21 World Tree points on a shared aura table that rolls 1 in 72, which is not a fight you can go and pick.

Should I breed Elgrove instead of catching one?

Only for passives. Several pairs land on Elgrove, but the cheapest of them needs a Mimog, which is rarer than Elgrove itself. Catching one is faster in practice.

Is Elgrove worth catching?

For a base, yes. Planting 3, Lumbering 3 and Transporting 3 in one slot covers a farm and a wood line at once, and it is the parent you need for Elgrove Cryst later.
