Gloopie: Location and How to Get It

Go to the Isle of Decayed Treasures at level 10. It holds the only 10 Gloopie points below level 50, on a two-Pal table, and the fishing spot there is the same answer with a rod.

A heatmap of Yamijima, and one island that is not on it

265 of the 305 mapped points are Yamijima spawns at levels 50 to 62, and 30 more are Volcanic Cavern spawns at 32 to 36. The 10 points a low level player can actually use are on the Isle of Decayed Treasures and are too small a cluster to appear as a hotspot here.

1Sail or glide to the Isle of Decayed TreasuresThe shipwreck island is the only place a Gloopie exists below level 50. It holds 10 points there at levels 10 to 20, on a spawner group with two Pals on the roster where Gloopie holds 15 of the 30 weight.10 points at 50 percent of the table
2Bring the rod as well as the spheresThe Island Shipwreck fishing spot on the same island lists Gloopie at weight 94 over levels 10 to 20 at Easy difficulty, which is the highest common weight it carries anywhere. If the ground is quiet, cast instead of walking.Weight 94, Easy difficulty
3Bring Electric, and Dragon if you have itGloopie is Water and Dark, so it takes extra from Electric on one half and Dragon on the other. Electric is the one you will actually have at level 10, and it is enough for a rarity 5 Pal in the low teens.Water and Dark, weak to Electric and Dragon
4Throw a plain Pal Sphere on the islandCapture power 7 covers the 10 to 20 band on the shipwreck island. If you came to Yamijima instead you are catching a level 56 to 62 Pal and want an Ultra Sphere at capture power 33.Capture power 7 on the island, 33 on Yamijima
5Put it in the party before your next fishing tripSticky Princess makes the fishing capture gauge fall 12 percent more slowly while the bars are apart, and it does not stack. One Gloopie in the party is the whole of that build, and it pays for itself on the rod you used to catch it.12 percent slower gauge, does not stack

Weight 94 on four different ocean tables

Gloopie is the common entry on the Island Shipwreck table at levels 10 to 20, the F Ocean table at 31 to 35, the Island Ancient table at 40 to 45 and the H Ocean table at 43 to 47, all at weight 94. Difficulty climbs from Easy to Difficult across that list, so the shipwreck spot is both the earliest and the kindest. There is also a small pond entry at weight 1.05 for levels 16 to 29.

Six squad entries across the Hunter Sea Base camps

There are 6 camp squad entries over 4 distinct Hunter Sea Base camps, including two entries that field 2 Gloopie each, which means a sea base raid is a genuine way to meet one rather than a footnote. No levels are recorded on those entries.

Volcanic Cavern, and it is the only cave that has it

The Volcanic Cavern fields 2 to 3 ordinary Gloopie at levels 32 to 35 and a single alpha at 36 to 38 on a 9-Pal boss table, plus a fish-pal spawn at 32 to 36 where only two Pals compete. No other dungeon in the game carries it, and there is no field boss anywhere.

Gloopie Primo is a much later Pal

Paldeck 48B swaps the Dark half for Neutral and lives only in the Sunreach sky islands at levels 65 to 66, on 14 points. It fills its own Paldeck slot, and a Gloopie is half of one of the only two breeding pairs that produce it.

Paldeck 48 and 48BWater and NeutralSky islands onlyHow to get Gloopie Primo
The heatmap and the steps point at different places on purpose. The three pins are the three densest clusters and all three are Yamijima at levels 50 to 62. The 10 points a low level player can use are on the Isle of Decayed Treasures and are too small to reach the top three.
The Large Damp Egg gives Gloopie 92.11 percent among 3 outcomes on the Sakurajima pool and 50 percent among 2 on the Tenraku common pool. Those are the best odds it has anywhere, and both are eggs you can only pick up long after the shipwreck island is behind you.
Gloopie is tagged nocturnal, but not one of its 305 spawn points carries a night restriction. The tag describes behaviour rather than a spawn window, so there is no reason to wait for dark.
Why bother
Gloopie is a fishing support Pal that you can catch by fishing. Sticky Princess slows the capture gauge by 12 percent while the bars are apart, which is the difference on the harder spots, and it does not stack with a second one. At a base it covers Watering 2, Handiwork 2 and Transporting 2 from one slot, which is broad for something available this early. Each one drops Aquatic Pal Fluids and Gloopie Tentacle, 1 to 2 of each.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where does Gloopie spawn in Palworld 1.0?

Mostly on the Yamijima rocks at levels 50 to 62, which is 265 of its 305 points. The only early ones are 10 points on the Isle of Decayed Treasures at levels 10 to 20.

Why is the level range on Gloopie so wide?

Because it is three populations under one summary. The shipwreck island is 10 to 20, the Volcanic Cavern is 32 to 38, and the Yamijima rocks are 50 to 62. Nothing sits between 20 and 32.

Can you fish up a Gloopie?

Yes, and it is the common entry at weight 94 on four separate ocean tables. The Island Shipwreck spot is the earliest at levels 10 to 20 and the only one rated Easy.

Do Hunter camps have Gloopie?

The Sea Base camps do. There are 6 squad entries across 4 of them, two of which field 2 Gloopie at once, which makes a raid a genuine route.

Is Gloopie Primo just a recoloured Gloopie?

No. Paldeck 48B is Water and Neutral rather than Water and Dark, it lives only in the Sunreach sky islands at levels 65 to 66, and catching one does not fill this entry.
