It spawns on 23 points on the Windswept Island coast and nowhere else. It carries 1 weight out of 211 on that spawner, so plan on forcing rerolls rather than searching.

Every mapped Gumoss (Special) point in the game sits in one stretch of the Windswept Island coast. There is no second population, no cavern version and no egg.

◆The 1 in 211 figure is a selection weight, not a measured drop rate. Treat it as the shape of the problem: this is the rarest slot on a busy spawner, so clearing the other Pals is the technique, and standing still is not.
◆Overkill is the expensive mistake here. At level 2 to 4 a single hit from a party Pal can kill it outright, and the next one may be an hour away.
◆Its stats and skills are identical to Gumoss. If you want the work value rather than the Paldeck entry and the flowers, catch a normal one in two minutes instead.
Why bother
It drops 3 Beautiful Flowers at 100 percent on top of the Berry Seeds and Gumoss Leaf a normal Gumoss gives. Its stats, work suitability and partner skill are identical to Gumoss, so this is a collection and a decorating item Pal rather than an upgrade.

Its spawner carries eight Pals totalling 211 weight, and Gumoss (Special) is 1 of that. Daedream is 75 and plain Gumoss is 60, so most of what appears on those points is something else.

Can you breed Gumoss (Special)?

Only from two of itself. It is not a rank-breed result, so the single pair that produces one needs the Pal you are trying to get. You have to catch the first.

Is Gumoss (Special) better than Gumoss?

Not in a fight or at a base. Same stats, same Planting 1, same Logging Assistance partner skill. The difference is the Paldeck slot and a guaranteed 3 Beautiful Flowers per catch.

What does Gumoss (Special) drop?
