Where to find the two parents
Hangyu Cryst is the child, so the map shows what you actually have to go and get. Every mapped Hangyu point is drawn, with the densest Swee patch pinned beside it. Both parents spawn day and night on open ground.

All 332 mapped points are nocturnal, which is why a daylight sweep of the right ground returns nothing. The densest is the Foot of the Astral Mountains at [-23, 130] with 98 points, and the best odds are the Abandoned Ruins at [-146, 162] at about one roll in 4.
Plain Hangyu fills Paldeck 38 and this one fills 38B. It is Ground rather than Ice, it works two tiers lower at almost everything, and it spawns day and night from level 9. Catching it leaves this slot empty, which is exactly why it is a parent rather than a substitute.
The common Astral pool on the Frozen Egg is three results wide, so a third of them work. Do not reach for the Large Frozen Egg here, because the same Pal sits under 2 percent in both of its pools.

A single Scientist camp entry fields one Hangyu Cryst by the second floor entrance. Its level there is not known, so it is a thing that happens during a raid, not a route.

What two Pals make Hangyu Cryst?
Swee and Hangyu. That is the only cross-species pair in the game that produces one, and the only other combination is two Hangyu Cryst together.
Why is there no Hangyu Cryst where the map says it is?
Because you are looking in daylight. Every one of its 332 wild points is nocturnal, which is unusual: plain Hangyu spawns day and night. Sleep to night at a base and go back to the same spot, or breed one instead.
Where does Hangyu Cryst spawn in Palworld 1.0?
Across the snow line in 8 spawner groups. The densest is the Foot of the Astral Mountains at [-23, 130] with 98 points at levels 32 to 36, and the best odds are around the Abandoned Ruins at [-146, 162].
Is Hangyu Cryst better than Hangyu?
At a base, clearly. Handiwork 3, Transporting 3, Gathering 2 and Cooling 2 against Handiwork 1, Gathering 1 and Transporting 2. Both carry the same gliding partner skill, so the only cost is getting hold of one.
Is there an Alpha Hangyu Cryst?
No. It has no field boss and no cavern encounter, so level 40 on the high Astral slope is the highest one you can catch. Breeding is the only way to set its level yourself.
