Every Katress spawn on the map
Every mapped Katress point, with the three densest patches pinned. Most of these points carry a nocturnal-only flag, so the same walk in daylight is a much thinner hunt.

Other ways in
4 alternatives checked against the wild catch routeKatress sits in three separate Large Dark Egg pools, and it is roughly a quarter to a third of each. Good use for eggs you already have, and no help at all as a plan.
Two forest grotto profiles field Katress at Boss and MidBoss rank with the alpha flag set, at levels 27 to 29. A larger one than the surface gives you, in a room you have to find first.
Other guides place an Alpha Katress on the marsh island. Katress has no field boss anywhere. The 18 Sealed Realm entrances each carry a name and a position with no Pal identified, so that claim can be neither confirmed nor ruled out.
The Fire variant is Paldeck 79B and fills its own slot. Catching one does nothing for this entry, and two Katress will never produce one.

the questions people actually search forFrequently asked questions
Where does Katress spawn in Palworld 1.0?
Across the main island at levels 20 to 46, with 336 of its 675 mapped points packed into the Crescent Moon Shore. The next two patches are 94 points around Gobfin's Turf and 89 at the foot of the Astral Mountains.
Does Katress only come out at night?
Almost. 570 of the 675 mapped points are nocturnal-only, so 105 points can appear in daylight. Going out after dark is the difference between a quick catch and a long walk.
Is there an Alpha Katress?
There is no confirmed Alpha Katress. It has no field boss at all. Its only larger version is the dungeon spawn in the Mountain Stream Grotto pool, which carries the alpha flag at levels 27 to 29.
What do you get by breeding two Katress?
More Katress. The Fire variant needs a female Katress and a male Wixen, which is the only gender-locked pair in the game, and reversing the genders gives Wixen Noct instead.
Is Katress worth catching?
Yes, for the base. Handiwork 3 and Medicine Production 3 in one slot covers two jobs, and the partner skill saves roughly one sphere in ten while it is in your party.
