How to Breed Loupmoon Cryst

Put a Loupmoon and a Sweepa in a Breeding Farm. Loupmoon is a level 14 catch and Sweepa has a guaranteed level 11 boss, against a wild Loupmoon Cryst at level 40 in the snow.

Where to find the two parents

Loupmoon Cryst is the child, so the map shows what you have to go and get. The heat is every mapped Loupmoon point, which is the harder half of the pair, with the level 11 Sweepa boss pinned beside it.

The route
1Catch a Loupmoon after darkThe bamboo at [-235, -176] gives Loupmoon 43.9 percent of the roll at levels 15 to 18. It is nocturnal, so the same ground in daylight produces nothing.Lv 15 to 18, night only
2Fight the level 11 Sweepa at [-227, -593]A guaranteed encounter and the only Sweepa below level 25. Sweepa is pure Ice, so bring Fire, and it respawns on server restart if the first attempt goes badly.Lv 11, the only Sweepa field boss
3Build a Breeding Farm and bake a CakeThe Breeding Farm is technology level 19 and costs 10 Wooden Board, 20 Stone and 50 Fiber. The Cake is 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Egg and 2 Honey, so start the Ranch before the farm. One Cake per egg
4Put the pair in togetherLoupmoon with Sweepa gives Loupmoon Cryst every time. Only two pairs produce one and the other is Loupmoon Cryst with itself, so there is nothing to reroll.2 pairs, 1 of them usable

Tenraku Frozen Egg, one outcome

The Tenraku common pool on the Frozen Egg holds exactly one outcome and that outcome is Loupmoon Cryst, so every one of those hatches into this Pal. The Tenraku rare pool on the Large Frozen Egg is two outcomes at 50 percent. If you are already up there, pick up every egg you pass.

461 points, and 339 of them only at night

The snow population runs levels 40 to 59 and every one of those points is night only, with shares from 13 to 30 percent. The 122 daytime points are all in Feybreak at levels 63 to 65. Either way it is a long stretch of progression past the pair.

Field bossEndgame
One level 66 alpha, in Feybreak

A single field boss stands on the Feybreak ice at level 66, on a spawner that carries no other Pal, so that location rolls a Loupmoon Cryst every time. Feybreak Cavern also fields an alpha at levels 56 to 58. Both sit far above the breeding route.

VariantSeparate
Loupmoon is a different Pal

Paldeck 56 is Dark with Handiwork 2 and no Cooling, and it is catchable at night from level 14. Filling 56 does not fill 56B, and you need a Loupmoon anyway because it is one of the two parents here.

Paldeck 56 and 56BHandiwork 2 against 4How to get Loupmoon
The snow Loupmoon Cryst is nocturnal and the Feybreak one is not. 339 of the 461 points carry the night flag and all 122 that do not are the three Feybreak tables at levels 63 to 65, so a daylight sweep of the Astral Mountains finds nothing at all.
It is an Ice Pal that does not drop an Ice Organ. Its whole drop table is 1 Bone, the same list plain Loupmoon has, so do not plan an Ice Organ run around this one.
The level 66 field boss stands on a spawner table that carries no other Pal, so that single location is a guaranteed Loupmoon Cryst rather than a roll. It is still 52 levels above the pair.
Why bother
Loupmoon Cryst is the base worker its Dark form never was. Handiwork 4 and Cooling 4 together carry an assembly line and a refrigerator at once, where plain Loupmoon has Handiwork 2 and nothing else. Frozen Gleam Strike adds 15 percent melee weapon attack speed in the party, does not stack, and fires a Snow Claw with a 1.1x multiplier.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What two Pals make Loupmoon Cryst?

Loupmoon and Sweepa. That is the only usable pair, and both parents are main island Pals, so the whole route is reachable around level 15.

Where does Loupmoon Cryst spawn in Palworld 1.0?

On 461 mapped points. The snow population runs levels 40 to 59 at night, and the Feybreak population runs 63 to 65 at any hour, with a level 66 field boss above it.

Is Loupmoon Cryst nocturnal?

Partly. 339 of its 461 points are night only, and those are all the snow ones. The 122 Feybreak points carry no night flag, so that is the only population you can hunt in daylight.

Which egg hatches a Loupmoon Cryst?

A Frozen Egg from the Tenraku common routes. That pool holds exactly one outcome and it is this Pal, so those eggs are a guaranteed hatch.

Is Loupmoon Cryst better than Loupmoon?

On a base, clearly. Handiwork 4 and Cooling 4 against Handiwork 2 and nothing else. The party bonus is the same 15 percent melee attack speed on both, and neither stacks.
