Step one

Every Needoll Noct spawn, all of them nocturnal

These are the same dunes the base Needoll walks, and the pins overlap almost exactly. What changes at night is not the ground, it is the odds: Needoll Noct takes 21.3 percent of the spawner weight where Needoll takes 7.1.

The route
1Get to the dunes before darkThe central band around [341, 340] carries 106 of the 325 points. Set a base or a fast travel stop there in daylight so you are not crossing the desert when the spawns turn over.106 of 325 points in one patch
2Wait for night, because there is no daytime versionAll 325 wild points are night gated. In daylight the same ground rolls the base Needoll instead, which fills a different Paldeck slot and does not count.0 daytime spawns
3Bring Fire, and Dragon if you have itNeedoll Noct is Dark and Grass. Fire answers the Grass half and Dragon answers the Dark half, and Fire alone is usually enough at levels 33 to 36.Weak to Fire and Dragon
4Throw Mega Spheres and take severalAt 21.3 percent of the group weight you will see them repeatedly, so catch three or four while you are out. Rarity 3 means the throws land without much softening.Lv 33 to 36, rarity 3
5If dawn beats you, come back the next nightThere is no alpha and no egg to fall back on. This Pal has no field boss and no egg pool, so the night dunes are the whole route.0 field bosses, 0 egg pools

EggsBlocked
No egg hatches one, whatever you have read

There is no egg pool containing Needoll Noct, on the Dark eggs and on every other tier, so hatching for one will never land.

BreedingMore expensive
Only one cross-species pair, and it costs more

Needoll with Prunelia, and nothing else apart from breeding two Needoll Noct together. Prunelia costs level 50, so the pair is 17 levels dearer than the night dunes and needs two Pals you do not have yet.

AlphaBlocked
No alpha and no camp squad

No field boss, no camp squad, no dungeon and no quest encounter. The base Needoll has a level 40 alpha on Scouring Islet, the Noct form has nothing of the kind.

VariantSeparate
Needoll is a different Pal

The base form fills Paldeck 100 and is pure Grass, walks the same dunes in daylight, and has a level 40 alpha this one does not. Catching one does not fill slot 100B.

Paldeck 100 against 100BDay against nightHow to get Needoll
Needoll Noct carries 300 of 1,410 selection weight in the desert spawner group, 21.3 percent, which is the largest share any Pal holds there. The base Needoll on the same ground is 100 of 1,410. These are selection weights, not observed catch rates, but the three to one ratio between the two forms is real.
Every one of the 325 spawn points is night gated. There is no daylight window, no alpha and no egg pool, so if you arrive at dawn there is nothing on this page you can fall back on.
Hug You So Much applies Ivy-Covered 2 and does no damage of its own. It only pays off next to something that punishes that status, which is what the base Needoll skill does.
Why bother
Needoll Noct is the only Pal whose partner skill applies Ivy-Covered 2 to whatever you hit, which is what makes the base Needoll skill do anything at all. It keeps the same Planting 3 and Gathering 3 as the base form and adds a guaranteed Venom Gland on top of the Fiber.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where does Needoll Noct spawn in Palworld 1.0?

Across the Desiccated Dunes on 325 mapped points at levels 33 to 36, and only at night. The densest patch is 106 points in the central band around [341, 340].

Can you find Needoll Noct during the day?

No. All 325 wild points are night gated. In daylight the same ground gives you the base Needoll, which fills Paldeck 100 rather than 100B.

How likely is a Needoll Noct at those pins?

It is 300 of 1,410 selection weight in the desert group, 21.3 percent, the highest share of anything spawning there. The base Needoll on the same ground is 7.1 percent.

Does Needoll Noct hatch from a Dark Egg?

No. There is no egg pool containing it at any tier, so there is no egg route to this Pal at all.

Is Needoll Noct worth a party slot?

Only alongside something that punishes Ivy-Covered. Its skill applies the status to whatever you hit and does nothing else, and the base Needoll is the Pal that turns it into 50 percent extra damage.
