Pengullet: Location, Breeding and Drops

Wild almost everywhere, at levels 2 to 41 depending on the patch, and on an ocean fishing line from level 1. The Windswept coast gives you one in under five minutes.

Every Pengullet spawn on the map

All 490 mapped Pengullet points. The three pins run from level 2 starter ground to the mid thirties, so pick by the level you want rather than by density.

Pengullet carries 23.5 weight in six separate common ocean pools, all rated Easy, and the tropical island one starts at levels 1 to 10. There is also a small shadow pond entry at levels 11 to 18.

Twenty eight pairs land on Pengullet. With 490 wild points and fourteen fishing pools already available, a Cake is only worth spending here to fix a level or carry a passive down.

◆Pengullet Launcher incapacitates the Pengullet you fire. Unlike Jolthog, which goes on a cooldown and comes back, this one is spent, so keep spares in the box before you make it a habit.
◆The level range on the map is 2 to 41 and it is not evenly spread. Catching one at the wrong pin gives you a level 35 Pengullet when you wanted a level 3 Ranch worker, or the reverse.
◆There is no Pengullet field boss anywhere. It is alpha flagged at levels 10 to 13 in the grass caverns and at levels 42 to 45 in the Astral Mountains Cavern, which is the highest level Pengullet in the game.
Why bother
Pengullet Launcher equips a rocket launcher that fires Pengullet itself as ammunition, and the Pal is incapacitated on impact, so it is a genuine expendable rather than a cooldown skill. Its work profile is a level 1 generalist across Watering, Handiwork, Cooling and Transporting, which makes it useful early and replaceable later.
