Two pairs exist and one is the self pair. Foxcicle has a level 15 field boss and Rayhound turns up in the snow from level 31, so the pair costs about 31 against a wild floor of 35. Four levels is not much, but the egg lets you choose the passives.

Sixty nine points sit in the World Tree region at levels 75 to 77, clustered around the Abandoned Laboratory. Nearly twice the main island count and forty levels dearer, so it is a stat upgrade rather than a route.
The only pool containing Rayhound Cryst is the World Tree one, four outcomes at 25 percent each. Good odds inside a region you would only reach long after the snowline route is done.
