How to Breed Smokie

Put a Katress and a Vaelet in a Breeding Farm. Both are level 20 Pals, which is 30 levels below every one of the 1699 Feybreak points where Smokie actually lives.

Where to find the two parents

Smokie is the child, so the map draws the parents rather than Feybreak. Katress carries the heat with 675 mapped points from level 20, and the densest Vaelet patch is pinned beside it.

Smokie sits in four separate Dark Egg pools. The Sakurajima pool of the plain Dark Egg is the good one at 22.6 percent of four results, which is far better than the Feybreak pool at 12.5 percent of eight. Open Sakurajima Dark Eggs rather than saving them.

Smokie holds 20 percent of the ordinary Feybreak Cavern table at levels 50 to 54 and 14.3 percent of the cavern boss table, where an alpha runs levels 56 to 58. That is the best share it has anywhere, and it still needs you to be running Feybreak caverns.

◆Chromite is a Feybreak material, so the Pal that finds it is available 30 levels before the material is. Breeding one early is worth doing precisely because you cannot use it yet.
◆The partner skill is activated rather than passive. It runs on a 60 second cooldown and only works while Smokie is in the party, so a Smokie left at a base does nothing for your mining.
◆The level 60 field boss sits on the same coordinate as a fixed Sealed Realm entrance. Six entrances share that same name, so the page gives the position rather than the name.
Why bother
Smokie is a Chromite finder. Its partner skill sniffs out Chromite in the area on a 60 second cooldown and doubles what you collect while it is fighting with you, and it drops 1 to 2 Chromite itself. Chromite is a Feybreak material, so a Smokie bred early is a head start on a resource you cannot mine yet.
