How to Breed Wixen Noct

Breed a male Katress with a female Wixen. Reverse the genders and the same two Pals give Katress Ignis instead. The parents cost level 23 against a wild band that starts at 46.

Where to find the two parents

Wixen Noct is the child, so the heat is every mapped Katress point, with the Wixen field boss pinned and the Sakurajima band it saves you from marked beside it.

The Sakurajima cave fields it on the ordinary table at levels 46 to 50 at 20 percent of a five Pal roster, and as an alpha at 51 to 52. Those 15 spawns are the only Wixen Noct without a night-only flag, which settles the question of whether the Pal is nocturnal everywhere.

Sakurajima Scorching Eggs

The Sakurajima pool is the only one that carries it. A Large Scorching Egg gives 31.39 percent across six outcomes and a Huge Scorching Egg gives 25 percent across four. Both are better odds than the ground beneath the nests, and neither needs nightfall.

Wixen is a different Pal

The base form fills Paldeck 78, is pure Fire, and has Kindling 3 and Handiwork 3 against this one at 4 and 4. It drops a Flame Organ where this one drops a Medium Pal Soul, and it has a level 28 field boss where this one has none. Catching it does not fill this slot, and it is one of the two parents.

◆This is the only gender-dependent pair in the game. Male Katress with female Wixen makes Wixen Noct, and the same two Pals with the genders reversed make Katress Ignis. Nothing in the Breeding Farm tells you which one you are about to get.
◆Wixen Noct is night only on the open ground, where all 184 points carry the flag, but not in the Cherry Blossom Cave, where the 15 spawns do not. It is Fire and Dark, not pure Fire, so it takes extra damage from both Water and Dragon.
◆It is the best Medium Pal Soul farm in this part of the Paldeck: 1 to 2 on every catch at 100 percent, plus an Advanced Technical Manual at 1 percent. If you bred one, the Sakurajima night ground is still worth a visit for the drops.
Why bother
Wixen Noct drops 1 to 2 Medium Pal Souls on every single catch, which turns it into a repeatable statue upgrade farm rather than a one time Paldeck entry. On a base it is Kindling 4 and Handiwork 4, the best worker in this family, and Black Fox Lord converts your own attacks to Dark and raises your Attack by 30 percent.
