Bellanoir Libero Nuke

Updated

Stack 150% on the active pal, cut the cooldown in half, then fire a 2.5x Nightmare Bloom.

Every other build on this site spends its party slots making the trainer hit harder. This one spends all five making one pal hit like a raid boss, which is fair, because Bellanoir Libero is one. Its activated skill fires Nightmare Bloom at a target with a damage multiplier that climbs from 1.1x to 2.5x as you condense it, and the skill does not require Nightmare Bloom to be equipped. Everything else in the party exists to feed that button: Orserk converts your own gunfire into a stacking 150% attack and defense buff on the active pal, Lapure halves the cooldown so the nuke comes back sooner, Hoocrates raises the attack of every Dark pal present, and Celesdir Noct trades the pal's health for more attack still. You shoot to build stacks. The pal does the killing.

The lineup

5 core members

Every slot has a job. The cards below show the exact synergy, its rank range, who it affects, and a mapped route to recruiting that pal.

The nuke01
Bellanoir Libero Core attacker

Nightmare Stare fires Nightmare Bloom at the target on a 30-second cooldown, with a damage multiplier that runs 1.1x at rank 1 up to 2.5x fully condensed. You do not need Nightmare Bloom in its skill slots to use it.

The multiplier lives on the activated skill rather than a passive effect curve, so it does not appear in the scaling table below. Rank 1 is 1.1x and rank 5 is 2.5x.
Recruitment route

Summon it at a Summoning Altar. Bellanoir Libero is a raid boss: build a Summoning Altar, use its slab, and beat the summon. Mapped tiers run at level 45 and level 80.

Stacking amplifier02
Orserk 1 effect

Every bullet you land adds a stack worth 1% at rank 1 and 5% fully condensed, to both attack and defense, on the pal fighting beside you. It caps at 30 stacks, so 150% of each at rank 5, and each stack expires after five seconds.

Cooldown engine03
Lapure 1 effect

Cuts other party pals' partner-skill cooldowns by 10% at rank 1 and 50% fully condensed. This is the pal that gets Nightmare Stare back faster. The source video credits this effect to Lyleen Noct, which does something else entirely.

Celesdir Noct 1 effect

The active pal steadily loses health in exchange for attack. Its shipped text states 40%, and the effect carries no per-rank value in the 1.0 export, so the condensed figure cannot be read from data. The drain is what Immortality's life steal is there to cancel.

TipThe short version

Open with the drone launcher or Combat SMG to stack Orserk, keep firing because the stacks expire in five seconds, and press the partner-skill button whenever Nightmare Stare is up. Buff with the Megaboost Gun between casts, and let Immortality's life steal cover the health Celesdir Noct is draining.

Passives to implant

2 core · 2 total

These go on Bellanoir Libero, not on the support slots, because this build's damage all comes from one pal. Two of the four the video recommends ship without effect text in the 1.0 export, so we name them without restating numbers we cannot check.

Immortality

All five slots
Rank 4 · Mutation

Absorbs 100% of damage dealt and restores Health. Pal Auto Health Regeneration Rate +100%. Attack +15%.

The keystone. The 5% life steal is what makes Celesdir Noct's health drain survivable, and it scales with your damage, so the harder the pal hits the less the drain matters. The doubled regeneration and the attack are both pure upside.

How to get it

Mutation-pool only, so it never rolls on an ordinary wild catch. Breed for it or take the implant from ancient relic recycling.

Serenity

All five slots
Rank 3 · Standard pool

Active skill cooldown reduction 30% Attack +10%

Cuts active skill cooldowns by 30% and adds 10% attack. It stacks with Lapure on the party side, so the nuke and the pal's own attack rotation both come back faster.

Gear and loadout

19 picks

Your weapons are not here to kill anything. They exist to build Orserk stacks and buff the pal, so fire rate matters more than damage. The accessories are almost all pal-only.

Weapons

Orserk needs bullets landing on the target, and each stack lasts only five seconds. That makes rate of fire the stat that matters.

  • Stack builder, hands-free
    Drone LauncherTech Lv 77

The easiest way to hold Orserk stacks. Deploy the drones and they keep hitting the target on their own, which means stacks keep refreshing while you do something else.

Fire it at your own pal to raise its attack and defense. The upgraded version buffs harder and lasts longer than the base Boost Gun. You are not using it as a weapon.

Firing it at an allied Pal boosts their attack and defense, while hitting an enemy deals damage. Thanks to improvements, the boost is stronger and lasts longer, and it deals more damage to enemies.

Accessories

Nearly every effect here is marked pal-only, meaning it does nothing for you personally. That is the correct trade in a build where the pal is the damage.

  • Pal attack and Dark damage

Pal Attack Up Lv. 4 and Pal Dark Damage Enhancement Lv. 4. Worth noting against the video's framing: the attack component is 16%, and the 20% figure is the Dark damage half.

Skills for Bellanoir Libero

Its exclusive skill is the headline, but the third slot should change with the target. Wide, static bosses want ground-effect skills; evasive ones want tracking.

  • Exclusive nuke
    Nightmare Bloom (Dark, 600 power)

Learned at level 50 and the skill Nightmare Stare fires. You can leave it out of the loadout and still use the partner skill, though there is rarely a reason to.

  • Tracking
    Dark Whisp (Dark, 600 power)

Learned at level 70 and shipped under this spelling. A pursuing dark projectile, which is what you want against anything that will not stand still.

  • Wide targets

Native at level 30. A multi-hit area skill, so against a boss with a large horizontal hitbox it lands far more than its 400 power suggests.

Use on a Pal to teach Apocalypse.

  • Wide targets, second
    Circle Vine (Grass, 300 power)

Another ground-effect skill that keeps damaging a large target. Grass rather than Dark, so your Dark accessories will not touch it.

  • Wide targets, third
    Sand Twister (Ground, 500 power)

Completes the video's three-skill area package for the largest bosses. Ground element, again outside your Dark boosts.

  • Second exclusive
    Flame Waltz (Dark, 450 power)

Bellanoir Libero's other exclusive, learned at level 40 on a 20-second cooldown. The video skips it; it is Dark element, so every Dark boost in the build applies.

Food

Attack food and defense food are mutually exclusive, and this build always wants attack.

  • Attack food

Worth 20% attack, and the video's pick for exactly that reason.

Now with cheese, this dish has reached the highest level of fine cuisine. Eating it will increase Attack by +20% and stay full longer for a period of time.

  • Attack food, ancient tier

Stat point priority

Highest priority first

Your own stat points matter less here than in any other build on this site, because you are a support gunner rather than the damage source. Spend them on staying alive and staying mobile while the pal works.

  1. 1HealthFirst. You are firing continuously to hold Orserk stacks, which means standing in the fight rather than kiting from range.
  2. 2StaminaSecond. Rolling out of boss attacks without dropping your firing rhythm is what keeps the stacks alive.
  3. 3AttackThird, and genuinely third. It raises your own bullet damage, which is not what kills anything here. It does not touch the pal's damage at all.
  4. 4Weight and work speedLast, as always in a combat build.
// 06

How to play it

6 steps

The loop is short and it never really changes. The only discipline it asks for is that you keep shooting even when it feels pointless, because the buff you are holding is worth more than your bullets are.

  1. 1Condense Bellanoir Libero before anything else

The multiplier is the build. At rank 1 Nightmare Stare is a 1.1x hit, which is barely a bonus at all; fully condensed it is 2.5x. Nothing else you do here matters as much as closing that gap.

  2. 2Open by building Orserk stacks

Deploy drones, or empty a Combat SMG magazine into the boss. Each landed bullet is one stack of attack and defense on the active pal, up to 30. You want to be near the cap before the first nuke lands, not after it.

  3. 3Keep firing, because stacks expire in five seconds

This is the part players drop. The buff is not a one-time setup, it decays continuously, so a pause in your fire is a direct cut to the pal's damage. Drones help precisely because they keep hitting while you reload or reposition.

  4. 4Fire Nightmare Stare on cooldown

Base cooldown is 30 seconds, and with Lapure fully condensed plus Serenity on the pal it comes back considerably faster. There is no reason to hold it, so press it the moment it is available and start rebuilding stacks.

  5. 5Top the pal up with the Megaboost Gun

Between nukes, put a round into your own pal. It raises attack and defense on top of everything else, and the upgraded version lasts long enough to be worth the swap.

  6. 6Match the third skill to the boss

Against evasive targets take Dark Whisp for its tracking. Against large static ones take the ground-effect package of Apocalypse, Circle Vine and Sand Twister, which keeps damaging a wide hitbox rather than relying on one clean hit.

What this build turns down

3 considered

This lineup gives up a lot. It is worth being clear about what, and about which of the commonly-suggested swaps do not do what people think they do.

Any trainer-damage build

The case for it
Player-damage builds are generally stronger than pal-damage builds at the top end, and every one of them frees you from managing a five-second buff window.

True, and this build is not trying to beat them. What it buys instead is a pal that can hold a boss on its own while you stay at range, which matters more in raids and hard-mode towers than a damage chart does.

Hoodle for the damage bonus

The case for it
Void-Dweller raises damage to enemies that are not yet in combat by up to 100% at full condensation, which sounds like a free opener on any boss pull.

The effect is real and the 100% is right, but it targets the trainer. It raises your bullet damage, not your pal's, so in a build where the pal does the killing it contributes essentially nothing. Keep it for farming trash on a player-damage setup.

The defense pal that is not there

The case for it
A common recommendation is to slot a pal for a large party defense buff, with Beakon named at 80% and Rooby named as a status amplifier.

Neither does that. Beakon is a mounted Electric converter, and Rooby raises Fire Pals' Defense by 15% to 30%. No pal in the 1.0 catalog grants 80% Defense; the element defense buffs all top out at 30%. Immortality and the life steal are the real answer to survivability here.

Where to get everything

7 stops

The hard part of this build is the pal, not the gear. Bellanoir Libero is a raid boss, and everything else is craftable or farmable on a normal endgame loop.

  1. Beat Bellanoir Libero as a raidIt is a summoned raid boss rather than a wild catch, so the route is slabs and repeat attempts. The Libero form is the video's pick, but the base Bellanoir runs the identical 1.1x to 2.5x curve on Nightmare Ray, so either will do.See the Bellanoir raid rotation build
  2. Condense it to rank 5This is the single highest-value action in the build. The partner-skill multiplier runs 1.1x, 1.3x, 1.6x, 2.0x and 2.5x across the five ranks, so an uncondensed Bellanoir is doing under half the damage of a finished one.
  3. Max the soul enhancementThe Statue of Power ladder runs 20 ranks at a flat 3% each, so a fully enhanced pal carries +60% stats. The video quotes exactly this figure.
  4. Collect the support palsOrserk, Lapure, Hoocrates and Celesdir Noct are all ordinary catches or breeds, and their recruitment routes are on the role cards above. Hoocrates in particular is a common low-rarity pal carrying an effect nothing else in the game has.
  5. Farm the mutation passivesImmortality is mutation-pool only, so it will never appear on a wild catch. Breed for it across dedicated breeding bases or pull the implant from ancient relic recycling. Serenity rolls from the standard pool and is far easier.
  6. Craft the Dark accessory setLord of the Underworld's Baton, Katress Ring and Lyleen Noct's Talisman all carry Pal Dark Damage Enhancement Lv. 4. Every one of them has a guaranteed Ancient Shrine schematic pickup, so none require a lucky drop.Baton schematic on the map
  7. Unlock the support weaponsThe Megaboost Gun and the Combat SMG are both ordinary technology unlocks rather than legendary schematics, so they arrive on the normal levelling path. The Drone Launcher is the one that wants a legendary schematic.Drone Launcher drop sources

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Lyleen Noct reduce partner skill cooldowns?

No. Lyleen Noct's partner skill is Goddess of the Tranquil Light, an activated party heal on a 300-second cooldown that restores 85% to 95% health to you and every party pal. The pal that reduces other party pals' partner-skill cooldowns, by 10% at rank 1 and 50% fully condensed, is Lapure. Some guides credit the cooldown effect to Lyleen Noct by mistake.

Do I need Nightmare Bloom equipped to use the partner skill?

No. Nightmare Stare fires Nightmare Bloom at the target regardless of what is in Bellanoir Libero's four skill slots, which frees those slots for whatever suits the fight. Nightmare Bloom is still a 600-power Dark skill worth equipping most of the time.

How much does condensing actually change?

It roughly doubles the build. Nightmare Stare's multiplier goes 1.1x, 1.3x, 1.6x, 2.0x, 2.5x across ranks 1 to 5. Orserk goes from 1% to 5% per stack, so from 30% to 150% at the 30-stack cap. Lapure goes from a 10% cooldown cut to 50%, and Hoocrates from 15% to 30%. Nothing in this build is worth running uncondensed.

Why is my Orserk buff not showing on the stat screen?

The source video reports that in multiplayer the stacks apply without displaying, and suggests confirming it on a training dummy after landing hits on a real enemy. That is a client display issue rather than a mechanical one, and it is the creator's observation rather than something our dataset can verify.

Is Celesdir Noct worth the health drain?

Yes, provided Bellanoir Libero has Immortality. The drain is constant, but Immortality returns 5% of damage dealt as health, and this build deals enormous damage, so the life steal comfortably outruns the drain. Without Immortality the trade is much harder to justify.

What do Demon God and Musclehead actually give?

We will not put a number on either. Both ship with no effect text in the 1.0 game-data export, so while we can confirm they exist, their rank and their roll pool, the specific percentages the video quotes cannot be checked against the data. Immortality and Serenity both have full effect text and are the safer picks.

Which weapon should I use to build stacks?

The Drone Launcher for hands-free uptime, since deployed drones keep hitting the target while you reload or reposition, and the Combat SMG when you need to reach 30 stacks quickly. The stacks last five seconds each, so continuous fire matters far more than per-shot damage. Whether drone hits themselves count as bullet hits for Orserk is not recorded in our data; some creators report they do.

How does this compare to the Pal Support Nuke build?

They share four of five pals and solve the same fight in opposite ways. This build keeps Immortality on Bellanoir Libero for life steal and has you contributing weapon damage alongside it. The Pal Support Nuke build drops Immortality entirely, makes you a dedicated healer with Pal Recovery Grenades, and spends the freed passive slots on two World Tree passives for roughly 90% more Attack. Pick by whether you want to shoot or to support.

Does the same-element attack bonus matter for skill choice?

Less than you would expect. The source video puts the same-type bonus at 20%, the same as a Mozzarina Cheeseburger, and argues you should pick skills for their hitbox rather than their element. Our dataset carries no same-element multiplier constant, so we cannot confirm that 20% figure, but the practical advice holds: against a wide boss, an off-element area skill often beats an on-element single-target one.
