Palworld 1.0 did not just add pals, it rewired what strong means. Raw attack still matters, but the real monsters of this patch are the ones that convert your weapon damage, stack buffs on everything beside them, or turn one status effect into a chain reaction. This ledger ranks the 13 slots that decide fights right now, 18 pals in total, every number pulled from the 1.0 game data at partner rank 5.

Section 01

The Power Index

All 13 slots at a glance, ranked by real impact. Bars show species base stats from the PalMods 1.0 dataset, where 150 is the ceiling. Think a raw stat tells the real story? Re-sort it yourself.

The dossiers

Thirteen Case Files

Every entry states its max-rank partner skill as fact, straight from the dataset, then makes the argument for its slot.

Rank 01 · The Sentinel of the Deep

Neptilius

WaterNukerMount

Apex water attacker

ATK145
DEF125
HP105
410 stamina
Sentinel of the Great SeaPassive

Follows up your attacks with Water spear strikes while in party. Rides as the fastest deep-water mount in the game and can leap high over water.

Swim speed +10% at rank 2, +25% at rank 5

A 145 base Attack ties the highest mark on this ledger, and the partner skill converts that stat into free damage: every attack you land gets chased by water spears you never had to aim. The signature laser reaches across the arena, and 410 stamina makes it an ocean commuter that doubles as a boss killer.

Necromus portrait
Rank 02 · The Twin Knights

Necromus

DarkNukerMount
Bonded pair

The offensive half

ATK145
DEF120
HP130
350 stamina
Dark Knight of the AbyssPassive

Casting Twin Spears summons the Paladius in your party to fight alongside you. Double jumps while mounted.

Ride speed +10% at rank 2, +20% at rank 5

Run both and every signature cast turns a solo fight into a two-on-one. Necromus brings the 145 Attack and twin spears, Paladius answers with 145 Defense and a triple jump, and each one drags the other into the fight through its own partner skill. It is the only pairing in 1.0 where the party slot pays for itself twice.

Rank 03 · The Black Steed

Frostallion Noct

DarkNukerBufferMount

Dark conversion mount

ATK140
DEF135
HP140

Black SteedPassive

While mounted, your attacks become Dark element, inflict Blind 6 and gain 40% Attack at rank 5.

Rank 1: Blind 2, +10% Attack. Rank 5: Blind 6, +40% Attack

The best stat sheet on the ledger with no number under 135, on a flying mount that rewrites your own weapon damage. Dark conversion plus 40% Attack deletes Neutral targets, Blind 6 blunts whatever is left, and Dark Wing leaves a homing projectile behind every swing. This is the centerpiece of any all-dark party.

Eidrolon portrait
Rank 04 · The Scaling Pterosaur

Eidrolon

DragonDarkNukerMount
Ignis variant

Dragon and Dark scaling

ATK125
DEF120
HP115
130 stamina
Liberated PterosaurPassive

Flying mount. Gains 6% Attack and Movement Speed at rank 5 for each other Dragon or Dark pal in your party, up to +24%.

+2% per pal at rank 1, +6% per pal at rank 5

Build the party around it and Eidrolon outgrows almost everything: four matching-element teammates turn into a permanent +24% Attack and Movement Speed. It out-endures Jetragon in the air on stamina, matches it on unbuffed speed, and Blazing Beam is a 700-power signature you can aim with anything in your hands. Ignis trades five Attack for Fire scaling; both one-shot same-level rivals when specced for damage.

Rank 05 · The Benchmark

Jetragon

DragonNukerMount

The legend everyone measures against

ATK140
DEF120
HP115
110 stamina
Aerial Missile Activated · 60s CD

Flying mount that rapid-fires a missile launcher while mounted. 40 missiles per activation at rank 5.

20 missiles at rank 1, 40 at rank 5

Still the speed king when fully specced, still a 140 Attack legend, and Pocket Pair moved its spawn in 1.0 precisely because everyone farmed it first. The one catch is the kit: to shoot from its back you are locked to the missile launcher, which is why the scaling mounts above it now edge it out for pure combat.

Orserk portrait
Rank 06 · The Stack Battery

Orserk

DragonElectricBufferNuker

Bullet-fed party engine

ATK130
DEF115
HP120
100 stamina
Ferocious Thunder DragonPassive

Every bullet you land gives your active pal 5% Attack and Defense for 5 seconds at rank 5, stacking 30 times for a peak of +150%.

+1% per hit at rank 1, +5% per hit at rank 5

Feed it an assault rifle and Orserk quietly turns your active pal into a raid boss: 30 stacks of +5% is a 150% Attack and Defense buff that refreshes as fast as you can shoot. It also swings a 600-power lightning spear of its own and generates electricity at rank 8 back home. The buff pal that never stops being a threat.

Solenne portrait
Rank 07 · The Party Amplifier

Solenne

DarkNeutralBuffer

One slot, 80% more damage

ATK115
DEF115
HP110
Untainted MaidenPassive

Increases your Attack by 80% at rank 5 while every pal in the party is a different species.

+30% at rank 1, +80% at rank 5

The single most efficient party slot in 1.0. One Solenne replaces the old squad of four Gobfins with a bigger number and a condition you were probably meeting anyway, since the best parties run five different specialists. It fights too: a 500-power signature ballet, Shadow Ball and Holy Burst coverage, and rank 8 handiwork on the bench.

Lyleen portrait
Rank 08 · The Reset Button

Lyleen

GrassHealer

The 90% party heal

ATK120
DEF110
HP120
Harvest Goddess Activated · 300s CD

On activation, restores the Health of the player and every party pal by 90% at rank 5.

80% heal at rank 1, 90% at rank 5

Every long raid has a moment where the run should end. Lyleen deletes that moment once every five minutes, refilling you and the whole bench to near full. It is also the best Grass attacker in the game against Ground raid phases, and its planting 7 and medicine 5 make the off hours productive. Nothing else on this list saves runs.

Helzephyr Lux portrait
Rank 09 · The Current Converters

Helzephyr Lux

DarkElectricBufferMount
Interchangeable

The premium converter

ATK125
DEF100
HP105
170 stamina
Wings of ThunderPassive

Flying mount. While mounted, your attacks become Electric element and gain 20% Attack at rank 5.

+5% Attack at rank 1, +20% at rank 5

Element conversion is the quiet superpower of 1.0, and these two are the Electric outlet. Mount up and every weapon you own becomes lightning, which is exactly the element the hardest raid in the game is weak to. Helzephyr Lux brings the better stat line; Beakon does the identical job for a fraction of the farming effort.

Snock portrait
Rank 10 · The Electrify Engine

Snock

ElectricSupport
The pair

The igniter

ATK70
DEF75
HP65
Charging ShellPassive

While in party, your attacks inflict Electrify 6 at rank 5, paralyzing targets and doubling the Water damage they take. Grounded Electric types are immune.

Electrify 2 at rank 1, Electrify 6 at rank 5

Ignore the tiny stat bars; these two new 1.0 pals are a delivery mechanism. Snock tags everything you shoot with max-rank Electrify, then Slowatt turns each follow-up hit into a 60% splash detonation. Against packed raid waves the pair converts single-target DPS into room-wide damage, and grounded Electric types are the only things immune to the trick.

Ophydia portrait
Rank 11 · The Soak Setter

Ophydia

GrassWaterSupportMount

Grass and Water status rider

ATK115
DEF120
HP130
Glorious MistPassive

Rideable. While in party, your attacks inflict Soak 6 at rank 5, amplifying the Electric damage soaked targets take.

Soak 2 at rank 1, Soak 6 at rank 5

The setup half of the game’s nastiest damage loop. Ophydia soaks whatever you are shooting, your Electric pals collect the amplified payout, and its Grass and Water typing counters both Ground and Fire on the way in. Lotus Bloom burrows, vanishes and detonates for 700 power, and planting 7 with watering 5 makes it a farmhand between raids. Water targets shrug the Soak off, so bench it for those.

Knocklem portrait
Rank 12 · The Iron Guardian

Knocklem

GroundNuker
Ignis variant

Steel Guardian Mode

ATK110
DEF135
HP105
Steel Guardian Mode Activated · 50s CD

On activation, gains 50% Attack and 50% Defense for 40 seconds on a 50 second cooldown, so the buff is live for most of every fight.

A walking siege engine with a self-buff that is active 80% of the time. Guardian Mode turns an already tanky 135 Defense bruiser into a stat check most raid adds simply fail, and mining 7 with transporting 7 makes it a monster at home. Take Ignis if you want the harder-hitting Fire attacker; both forms spawn in several places, so supply is never the problem.

Celesdir Noct portrait
Rank 13 · The Chaos Steed

Celesdir Noct

DarkBufferMount

Power at a price

ATK115
DEF100
HP120
260 stamina
Blessing of ChaosPassive

Rideable. Your active pal gradually loses Health in exchange for an Attack increase that starts at 40% and reaches 80% fully ranked.

+40% at rank 1, +80% at rank 5

The most honest deal in 1.0: your active pal bleeds, your damage nearly doubles. Pair the drain with Lyleen’s reset button or a regen passive and the downside stops mattering, while the upside stacks onto an all-dark party alongside Solenne and Frostallion Noct. A glass engine for players who math their way around the cost.

Section 02

The Synergy Lab

The 1.0 meta is not a list of big numbers, it is a wiring diagram. These four circuits are the strongest ways the ledger connects, with every multiplier taken from the partner skills above.

The Raid Breaker Circuit

The chain built to crack Panthalus, the tankiest raid target in 1.0.

  1. Helzephyr LuxConverts every attack you fire to Electric while mounted
    +20% ATK
  2. SnockYour converted attacks now inflict max-rank Electrify
    Electrify 6
  3. SlowattEvery hit on an Electrified target discharges splash damage
    60% splash

Electrified targets are paralyzed and take double damage from Water attacks, while your converted lightning already counters Water typing on its own. Stack all three passives and the boss stands still eating super-effective shots, each one detonating a 60% area discharge.

The Universal Raid Frame

The four-slot core that makes any fifth pal better.

  1. SolenneAll-different-species party grants a flat player Attack buff
    +80% ATK
  2. OrserkYour bullets stack Attack and Defense onto your active pal
    to +150%
  3. LyleenParty-wide 90% heal on a five minute button
    90% heal
  4. NeptiliusThe flex slot: follows every attack with free water spears
    145 ATK

Four different species, so Solenne’s condition is automatically met. You shoot, Orserk turns your active pal into a monster, Neptilius punishes alongside you, and Lyleen undoes the boss’s best minute. Swap the fourth slot for any counter-pick without breaking a single link.

The Dragon Cyclone

Full dragon flight where the mount scales off its own escort.

  1. Eidrolon IgnisGains Attack and Movement Speed per Dragon or Fire teammate
    +24% ATK
  2. JetragonFeeds the scaling while staying a 140 Attack legend
    140 ATK
  3. XenolordAmplifies partner skill damage for weapon-wielding pals
    +50% PS dmg
  4. OrserkDragon-typed, so it feeds the mount while stacking your active pal
    +150% stack

Every slot is a Dragon, so Eidrolon Ignis flies at full +24% permanently while Xenolord multiplies the whole roster’s partner skills. The fastest hardest-hitting airborne party in 1.0 once Jetragon loses its speed passives.

The Blackout Party

The all-dark lineup that blinds first and asks questions never.

  1. Frostallion NoctConverts your attacks to Dark, inflicts Blind, buffs Attack
    +40% ATK
  2. Celesdir NoctTrades your active pal’s Health for near-double Attack
    +80% ATK
  3. SolenneDifferent-species dark core keeps the player buff live
    +80% ATK
  4. NecromusThe 145 Attack finisher that summons its twin on demand
    145 ATK

Everything you and your pals deal is Dark, blinded targets can barely answer, and three separate 40 to 80 percent buffs land on top of the highest attack stat in the game. Neutral bosses in particular simply disappear.

Section 03

Farm These First

If the whole ledger is too much homework, three captures carry the hardest content in the game.

1Solenne portrait
Solenne

One World Tree trip or a lucky Large Dark Egg gives you 80% more player damage forever. Nothing else on the ledger pays out this hard for this little effort.

2Orserk portrait
Orserk

Pack spawns beside a fast travel point mean a fully condensed stack battery in an afternoon. Your active pal hits 150% harder for the rest of the game.

3Lyleen portrait
Lyleen

The level 58 Alpha hands you the best healer and the best Grass attacker in one capture. Every raid attempt after that comes with a built-in second chance.
