Palworld 1.0 adds 72 new pals: 47 brand-new species and 25 new elemental variants, bringing Pocketpair's official roster to 287. They are scattered across the update's new geography, so meeting all of them is a tour of everything 1.0 added: the floating islands of Sunreach, the endgame World Tree, the seven new small islands, and the reworked Wildlife Sanctuaries. This page lists the new pals we can confirm, each linked to its full guide.
One important caveat up front. Pocketpair announced the totals but chose not to publish the individual names, inviting players to "meet still-unknown Pals" through exploration instead. The list below is therefore assembled from day-one datamining, cross-checked across sources, and then validated against our own dataset so that every entry links to a real pal. Treat it as the best-available list on launch day rather than a final, official enumeration.
The new roster at a glance
Where the new pals concentrate
The update spreads its newcomers across four fresh pieces of the world. Sunreach, the set of islands floating above Palpagos, introduces a wide range of new pals alongside its tower bosses and Sunreach-only ores. The World Tree, the endgame region at the climax of the story, is home to exclusive pals including an unnamed "colossal legendary Pal" that Pocketpair has teased but not yet revealed.
Down on the surface, seven new small islands were added across three biomes, volcano, desert, and ruins, each holding pals you can only encounter there. The three Wildlife Sanctuaries were also reworked into protected conservation areas, each with its own environment, rare materials, powerful bosses, and pals found nowhere else. Because Pocketpair has not published per-pal habitat data, we avoid pinning specific new pals to specific islands until the in-game Paldeck confirms it.
Brand-new species (46 confirmed)
The entirely new pals added in 1.0, each linked to its guide page. The note shows the pal's element typing as it reads in our dataset. This is the confirmed-so-far subset of the 47 new species.
New elemental variants (25 confirmed)
Element-swapped forms of existing pals. A variant keeps the base pal's silhouette but takes a new typing and, in 1.0, often a reworked partner skill. Typing shown is straight from our dataset.
Lovander is now a Dark type
One returning pal quietly changed identity in 1.0: Lovander was retyped to Dark. This is not a new pal, but it is a real reclassification you can verify in our dataset, where Lovander now carries a single Dark element. If you built around Lovander expecting its old typing, its type matchups, both what it resists and what it is weak to, have shifted, so it is worth re-checking on its guide.
Retyped in 1.0
Not a newcomer, but a pal whose element changed in the update.
Every pal has a full guide
Whether a pal is brand new, a fresh variant, or a returning favourite, every pal in our dataset has a complete guide page covering its stats, elements, work suitability, drops, breeding, and partner skill. That means you can click straight through from any entry above to see how a new pal actually performs, and the same pages update as the 1.0 data is confirmed. For a filterable overview of the whole roster, the Palpedia is the fastest way to browse all pals at once.
